Ramboda ist ein wunderschöner Aussichtspunkt auf unserem Weg. Von hier aus haben Sie eine herrliche Aussicht auf Teeplantagen, Berge, den Kotamale-Stausee und die Ramboda-Wasserfälle.
Der Ramboda-Wasserfall ist einer der höchsten und schönsten Wasserfälle Sri Lankas. Er liegt auf unserem Weg und wir können bei Bedarf in der Nähe des Wasserfalls spazieren gehen.
Der Besuch einer Teefabrik und einer Teeplantage ist eine einmalige Gelegenheit. Wir können sehen, wie die Teeblätter gepflückt werden. Auch der Prozess der Teeherstellung in der Fabrik. Sie werden mit einer frischen Tasse Ceylon-Tee begrüßt.
Das alte rote Postamt in Nuwaraeliya ist ein Wahrzeichen der Stadt. Sie werden die von den Briten beeinflussten Gebäudeentwürfe und die Architektur sehen. Nuwaraeliya ist als Little England von Sri Lanka bekannt. Sie haben die Möglichkeit, hier eine schöne Postkarte zu kaufen und sie an Ihre Lieben zu Hause zu schicken.
Gregory Lake ist ein künstlicher See mitten in der Stadt Nuwararliya. Es ist ein wunderschönes Erlebnis, ein paar Minuten an diesem schönen Ort zu verbringen.

10/10 experience. Amila is a top gentleman. The vehicle was perfect for my girlfriend and I and we were able to easily fit our medium suitcases in the boot. Amila was super professional, made sure we felt good during the twisty roads, and had perfect English. He gave us options of what we wanted to do along the way, making sure we were happy and stopping to allow us to take photos wherever there was a good view. He made it clear what was included in the cost of the trip. Which was everything bar the last temple stop which was a small entrance fee. We left Kandy at around 7am and got to Ella at 1pm. Happy birthday Amila for yesterday! Mahaweli tours is very lucky to have you as part of their team. The support team for booking and asking questions beforehand were very helpful and communication was great. Thanks Geeara!

Had a wonderful time with my dad on his university reunion trip, despite being the only “kid”, because of how kind and engaging our guide Pradeep was! He was so flexible and attentive to whatever our group wanted to do and always had a nice recommendation. Since he was fluent in all three languages that was a huge bonus in navigation. His ability to switch between my English, the parents’ Tamil, and the Sinhala spoken in most of the mountain area was so critical in making our trip fun, safe, and stress-free. We traveled via bus with 30ish people from Nuwara-Eliya to Arugum Bay and back to Colombo, spending 5 days doing various activities like kovil visiting and going on a safari. Our hotels were all great with food included and it seemed like Pradeep was a local in every area we went, he was so informed! Anyway, thank you so much for the great time and can’t wait to book a tour for my sister and friends sometime soon!

Our recent sightseeing tour from Kandy to Ella was absolutely incredible, and a huge part of that was thanks to our driver, Amia. From start to finish, the journey was smooth, scenic, and so well-paced. Amia was not only a safe and reliable driver, but also incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. He made sure we stopped at all the best viewpoints along the way, shared local insights, and never rushed us, which made the whole experience feel relaxed and enjoyable. The drive itself is stunning, but having someone like Amia guiding us really elevated the experience. He was attentive, accommodating, and went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable throughout the trip. Highly recommend this tour, and if you can, definitely request Amia as your driver — you’ll be in great hands!
It was great to see that the driver always wanted to see where he was driving safely and stopping along the way. I happened to have only one participant and it was a private tour, but they skipped places that I wasn’t particularly interested in.
We had the tour today and it was amazing we did stop at multiple hotspots to visit. Our guide was Indika and he was very friendly and helpful to us.
