Auf der Spitze des Gipfels befindet sich eine aus dem 17. Jahrhundert stammende Kapelle Unserer Lieben Frau von Monte Serrat, Schutzpatronin der Stadt und eine der historischen Sehenswürdigkeiten der Stadt, aus dem Jahr 1603.
Bewundern Sie den herrlichen Blick auf die Küste von Santos und die Stadt "Saint Vincent" (erste permanente portugiesische Siedlung in Brasilien) vom Niemeyer-Denkmal auf dem Hügel der Insel Porchat. Sie können das ganze Ufer sehen, Schiffe am Horizont, Wellen bilden, Menschen wie Ameisen und Gleitschirme fliegen herum! Das Belvedere wurde vom berühmten Oscar Niemeyer-Architekten entworfen und 2002 aufgrund seines 500-jährigen Bestehens von Brasiliens "Discovery" eingeweiht. Es macht diesen Ort nur noch spezieller! Definitely recommend this experience. We were lucky enough to have Gus and also a great driver. Gus discussed our interests and enabled us to have an extremely interesting day. Our driver, Hicham, picked us up early from our riad, just as the streets were waking up. Within half an hour, the red walls of Marrakech gave way to open land. The noise softened, the air cooled, and the colors shifted from ochre to green. I remember a playlist of soft Moroccan songs playing in the van, sunlight spilling through the window, and the simple contentment of watching sheep cross the road. It already felt like another world.
