Santorini: Privater Flughafen- und Hafentransfer

You only need 2hrs to check in at the airport so don't go to early the driver was friendly and helpful

Positive points: The driver was prompt, helpful with our bags and friendly. The car was clean and there was enough space for us and our things. Negative points: We booked The Joy Van to provide a taxi with car seats for our trip from Fira down to the port. When I’d noticed the previous day that the winds were forecast to be high I’d emailed and messaged the company to keep them appraised of the situation re our collection. They didn’t reply to any of my messages nor to my messages asking them NOT to come and collect us early the following morning when I saw that there had been a general sailing ban announced. The driver showed up seemingly oblivious to the closed port status (despite the company having our ferry information as they’d asked for it upon booking!). I spoke with the driver who was nice and said he’d ask his boss to message me on Whatsapp. Later that day I rearranged the booking for the following day from our new hotel. All seemed fine. I was NOT at any point asked to reconfirm the number of passengers, bags or any other special requirements. To my surprise the following morning the driver arrived at the appointed time WITHOUT our car seats! I was livid. He called his boss and told us that if we wanted the car seats we'd have to wait half an hour whilst they were collected from the other side of the island. We were in danger of missing our ferry so we felt we had no choice but to go ahead and make the trip without the seats. I was offered no refund for The Joy Van's error in rescheduling my booking. I don't like leaving poor reviews but I want other parents to be aware that they might not get the car seats they booked if they choose this company.

On our arrival on the island, Mr. Nikos received us, the best person who could have welcomed us! Gentle and smiling! offered to carry our luggage up to Van!When we entered offered us frozen water!Until we climbed the hill we felt like we were talking to our own man!He gave us advice for our stay on our island gave his phone and urged us to call him independent time for what we needed!In the drive calm and careful!There was no second that we did not feel safe despite the fact that the streets of Santorini are difficult with much traffic and without signals! Apparently for our return to the harbor at the departure we chose the same person! he was interested to know how we had it and we discussed what we liked and what not! More than a guide! Mr. Nikos is now our friend in Santorini! Thank you very much for everything! Kostas and Elena

The driver was punctual, courteous and very professional. The vehicle was comfortable and very clean.

Driver was friendly & on time to our hotel to meet us. Car was clean & spacious. We were also provided with some bottled water which was appreciated.

Great coordination and super easy transport from Oia back to the airport. Even accommodated our request for a pick up at the Post Office. Does NOT include a bottled water though.
