Diese 4-stündige 4x4 Abenteuertour ist speziell für unsere Kunden konzipiert, die mit dem Passagierliner anreisen. Sie werden am Hafen von Walvis Bay abgeholt, wo Ihr Kreuzfahrtschiff anlegt. Bevor wir nach Sandwich Harbour fahren, machen wir zunächst einen Halt an der Walvis Bay Lagoon, um die Flamingos und gelegentlich einen großen weißen Pelikan zu bewundern, die Walvis Bay Salt Refiners mit all ihren rosa Salzmangel zu durchströmen. Jetzt geht es in die Nambi Desert - Sandwich Harbour, eines der reichsten und einzigartigsten Feuchtgebiete des südlichen Afrika. Wedging zwischen Meer und Dünen "wenn die Gezeiten es zulassen"; wenn die Gezeiten verbieten, surfen Sie die Dünen bis zu den vielen bequemen Aussichtspunkten. Es wird viel Zeit eingeräumt, die Gegend zu erkunden und Möglichkeiten zum Fotografieren zu bieten. Zum Abschluss genießen Sie ein leichtes Picknick-Mittagessen mit kalten Getränken vor einer natürlichen Wüstenkulisse, dann besuchen Sie die Dünen für etwas mehr Spannung, bevor Sie Ihr Abenteuer zum Kuiseb-Flussdelta beenden, einem trockenen Flussbett, wo Sie gelegentlich Springbock, Oryx oder sogar Strauß sehen können.

Wir überwachen auch die Anlegezeit der Passagierschiffe und können Ihnen nur 14 bis 7 Tage vor der Ankunft des Kreuzfahrtschiffes in Walvis Bay alle Informationen für diesen Tag geben.

We took this excursion while on a cruise. Our driver was waiting at the port exit. 4x4 vehicle with driver and four passengers. Driver/guide was very informative . It was a great excursion, driving among, up, over and down the dunes and along the ocean beach and shore line. A picnic with snacks and drinks; spotting jackals, antelopes, oryxes, flamingos and pelicans. Beautiful day, well worth the money.
Great tour with Wild Space! Pick up at port right on time then off to see flamingos, salt mine and the dunes. The dunes are huge, amazing and driving up, down and around them was awesome. We were able to spot some wildlife along the way. Delicious lunch too. Guide was knowledgeable and helpful.
It can be very bumpy on the tracks and the sand dunes are very steep that they go down but great fun. Had a wonderful lunch in the desert. An amazing experience that is very spectacular especially the desert and the sand dunes.
Very good guide. Great site and fun Complaint is that you are not warned that one of the 4 passenger seats is the rear bench with 3 across in what are mostly Toyota crew cab 4x4 pickups. You’re in the front seat great. Rear window okay. Rear center. I’d rather not go. But you pay the same price for what can be a most uncomfortable 4 hours. Unfortunately this seems to be true for most of the tour operators. It should be disclosed. Shame on you Viator.

We were picked up by Marius our guide on time and close to the ship. He was very informative and interesting. The scenery was amazing and otherworldly. We had a beautiful meal and drinks served in a tremendous setting and my Coeliac ( gluten free ) meal was also catered for expertly. Thank you Wild Space safaris for a most memorable day that ended by been returned to the ship in plenty of time. Thank you so much and keep up the great work.❤️👍😁
The tour was not well organized. The waiting time for departure was too long. The vehicle was not big enough for 4 guests. It was not comfortable seating in the vehicle when moving around.
Hi there Zhongpu, Thank you very much for your review! It was our absolute pleasure to host you for the day. Just top give our side of the story as well.. An email was sent to you 14 days prior to your arrival in Walvis Bay, stating to please be ready by 12H00 for 12H15 departure as you have booked the 12H00 time slot. If you leave the passenger liner before 11H45 you have to wait for my guides. You have answered on the email stating you understand and are happy with the arrangements set out and will be ready outside the passenger liner by 12H00. At 11H20 we got a call from another company saying you are waiting for us for pick up. My guides were in the port at 11H45 for pick up and was still waiting for all the other clients to get of the passenger liner, unfortunately it's not our fault if clients are not on time as my guides have to simply wait for all the clients to arrive. Regarding the vehicles we always use the same vehicles for our excursion which is suitable for 4x4 driving terrains, the vehicle you pointed out and wanted was a minibus that is not 4x4 and not factory build for the type of tours we offer. All other tour companies offering the Sandwich Harbour excursion use the same vehicle we use. Hilux, Fortuner, Land Cruisers.
Gerhard was our tour guide and is incredibly knowledgeable about the entire area, its wildlife, plant life, sea life and all round knowledge about the dunes. Will stop for you to take pictures and answers just about any question thrown at him. A fun guy to have as your tour guide. At the food stop the dishes were beautifully displayed and ever so delicious. The entire experience was incredible. Highly recommend.
