Shina and Joe are great instructors - enthusiastic and supportive. The learning time was interesting and interactive. It was a good sample of using a katana and archery. Archery is a lot harder than the first 3 stances of katana, so it would have been good to have more practice time there, but it makes sense that it had to be half/half. Go a little early if you can because it takes time to get dressed into the samurai clothing.

A must do when visiting Tokyo. The instructors and centre itself are fantastic. We learned Kyudo and Samurai training for an hour, which was the perfect amount of time to get to grips with the basics. Our boys loved it, and it was fun dressing up in the costumes. All the staff were so kind and knowledgeable, we highly recommend this experience.
