Sambakurs in Copacabana

Marco was a very patient teacher. We were a group of 5o+Yr olds who wanted to have a good time and shed our inhibitions. We certainly did that, it was great fun. We learnt the basic steps of samba and had a good time.

A friendly trainer, who guides you to the basic steps of Samba. Its in a small dancestudio, with aircon. Problem is Samba is too difficult to master simple steps in, in just 1 hour.

Wonderful wonderful experience! Exciting to get a samba class from a professional performer. Patient and excellent teacher! High recommend..

Amazing ! The teacher is so cool and it was fun to meet other people. A lot of fun and good vibes ❤️🇧🇷

The class did not occur. We tried calling on WhatsApp, knocking on the door, and ringing the doorbell with no answer. The concierge at the elevators was kind otherwise.

Very fun! A very Welcoming lesson, and great way to start my trip in Brazil! No prior dance experience needed and tailored to all levels.

Class was good and we learned some steps, but even with moving to a bigger space was too crowded and couldn't really see the dance instructor. Was about a 45 min class and we did it barefoot

I was extremely disappointed with this samba class, specifically the staff and the way they treated us. I specifically booked a private class and private transfer to Pedra do Sal for my group, and this was not honoured at all. We were left waiting over 30 mins on the side of the road with a large group, with no communication or explanation. Eventually, buses pulled up already full of random people, which was completely different from what we had agreed and paid for. No one explained why the original agreement wasn’t being honoured. Only afterwards were we told that our group was “too big for them to handle with private transfers”, something that should have been clearly communicated from the very beginning, not once we had already committed. Marco, the teacher, was genuinely lovely and the highlight of the experience. However, even the class itself wasn’t fully private as promised. Other people came in and sat watching for the last 15–20 minutes, which felt intrusive and unprofessional given what we had booked. The guides were completely unprofessional, seemed more interested in partying and hanging out with their friends than managing the group, and one guide was outright rude and raised his voice at me, which is unacceptable. Overall, the experience felt misleading and poorly managed. I would strongly advise others to be very cautious when booking, especially if you’re promised anything “private”. I would not recommend this experience.

Amazing experience! Great instructor who was a great dancer, energetic, and shared his playlist with us afterwards.

Excellent time with Marco who is very welcoming and especially very competent and he knew how to transmit the basic steps and the spirit of samba. Achieved: know how to dance samba!
