Wir fahren mit unseren Panoramafenstern aus unseren Bussen durch die bayerischen Alpen, und Sie sehen den Chiemsee, und wir bringen Sie nach Salzburg. Dort haben Sie Zeit, die Stadt auf eigene Faust zu erkunden. Wir erklären Ihnen die wichtigsten Punkte der Stadt, um Ihren Besuch unvergesslich zu machen. Besuchen Sie die Spots aus dem Film The Sound of Music, wie das Schloss Mirabel. Unsere Guides zeigen Ihnen auf der Karte, wo die engen Gassen sind, die besten Plätze für Bilder entdecken und helfen Ihnen, den Geburtsort von Wolfgang Mozart zu finden. Besuchen Sie die berühmte Getreidegasse. Sehen Sie die Hohensalzburg, Wahrzeichen der Stadt und größte erhaltene Festung Mitteleuropas. Gerade in der Hochsaison April-Oktober : Wir nehmen Sie mit auf eine Bootsfahrt nach St. Gilgen in unserem Privatboot durch das Naturparadies Wolfgangsee. Vom 18. November bis zum 18. Dezember findet die Weihnachtsfeier am Wolfgangsee statt. Auf dem Rückweg nach München passieren wir den Mondsee, Schauplatz des Filmklassikers "Familie Trapp".

Treffpunkt : 08 : 10 Uhr vor dem Buddy Hotel am Karlsplatz 21, 80335 München 08 : 30 Uhr Abfahrt nach Salzburg. Erläuterungen zum Weg durch den Fortgeschrittener. Den Passagieren wird ein Stadtplan in Englisch mit markierten Standorten der Sehenswürdigkeiten ausgehändigt. Genaue Informationen werden Fortgeschrittener gegeben. 11:00 - 11:30 Ankunft Salzburg, Busbahnhof: Paris-Lodron-Straße. Abfahrtszeit wird vom Fortgeschrittener bekannt gegeben. Dauer des Aufenthalts: ca. 2,5 – 3 Stunden. Fortgeschrittener bietet Orientierungswanderung durch die Innenstadt : Dauer ca. 30 Min. Freizeit zur freien Verfügung der Gäste. Zeit für Mittagessen, Sightseeing und Shopping. 14 : 15 - 14 : 45 Uhr Abfahrt vom Busbahnhof : Paris-Lodron-Straße in Richtung Wolfgangsee. Fahrt durch den Distictsee : Fuschelsee.
14: 45-15: 15 Uhr Ankunft in St. Wolfgang / St. Gilgen. Ca. 20-35 Minuten Freizeit zur freien Verfügung. Nach dieser optionalen Bootsfahrt über den Wolfgangsee nach St. Gilgen / St. Wolfgang. Dauer ca. 35 min. Fahrgäste, die keine Bootsfahrt machen wollen, werden mit dem Tourbus zum Treffpunkt gebracht (Fahrzeit ca. 30 min.) 16: 15-16: 30 Uhr Abfahrt von St. Gilgen / St. Wolfgang
Fahren Sie mit dem Bus durch das Seengebiet: Krotensee & Mondsee. Im Ort Mondsee ist die Kirche von Mondsee zu sehen (Sounds of Music, Hochzeitsszene).

This trip was quite rushed, which i understand because you are travelling a long way by coach to get to the destinations. My advice would be to skip the guided part and visit the catacombs, which are just off the square with the big gold ball. Then check out the nearby streets. Later on you go to lake Wolfgangsee and village. Again, quite rushed. The village is stunning and the boat ride is very relaxing with wonderful views. This was my favourite part and worth the whole trip. This tour is very worthwhile. If you are into The Sound of Music then Salzburg is worth it. The catacombs are where the family hide from the soldiers. Instantly recognisable and a stunning location.

Salzburg Old town is a beautiful place that brings you to the past! Melanie our tour director was very knowledgeable and helpful. Our driver Savas was also prompt and skillful.

It was a great day out, our tour guide Melanie was great, also Smilie the driver, got us into Salzburg early, so we had extra time to explore the old part of the city, but of not enough time there, but that was OK, our guide highlighted lots of places of interest, I had wanted to climb upto the fortress, but not enough time, but not a problem, I had booked a half day tour the following afternoon, was planning to walk along the river, so did this on free time on todays tour, and the fortress next morning, you need to comeback to the city for at least another full day, as there is so much to see, I am not really a fan of cities, prefer outdoors more, but I loved Salzburg, after lunch we travelled to the lake district, this part of the tour us not to be missed, even if you wantonger in the city, the views from the boat ride on the lake ste magnificent, on the way back our tour guide Melanie gave us lots of information on things to do in Munich which was good.

Our trip to Salzburg and the Lake District was absolutely wonderful, and Austria 🇦🇹 has truly stole my heart. Our tour guide Monika was extremely knowledgeable and her passion for history and the beauty of this magical tour shone through and was contagious. I don't have young children but I watched how lovely and supportive she was towards the younger children on the trip. Salzburg is probably one of the most beautiful towns I've ever visited. The shops, the food, the character just gorgeous in every way. At the Lake District, I took the boat tour on my own and my husband stayed on the bus with my daughter which was no problem at all. My hubby had a good chat with the driver whom was also very friendly and helpful. The boat ride was spectacular and to see where my favourite musical was played was such a treat. The hills really did come alive for me today and I will treasure the memories forever. Monika thank you for absolutely captivating me, inspiring me all the more to keep travelling the world and being free to be me. You are a very special lady.

All of a sudden the Lake District tour was cancelled. This was not told in advance. The tour guide was also not good. Ideally you should refund the proportionate price for Lake District tour which did not happen

The title of the tour is misleading. The tour didn’t cover the Lake District as promised. And I got separated from the group from the very beginning of the guided tour and the guide tour was only for 30 minutes. So unfortunately you are just paying for the transportation from Munich to Salzburg and back for the most part.

The bus pickup point for Salzburg is on the opposite side of the road where the pickup point for other tours (Rothenburg, Neuschwanstein castle, etc) are located so be careful. The bus was comfortable and the itinerary was short and not that tiring. The tour started on time. I just hope Gray line day tours will also incorporate the use of one-sided earpiece just like what the other tour companies in Europe do. The tour guides speak softly so it was a bit difficult to hear them when you are taking pictures several feet away.

Without boat tour in lake district, it can be done much more efficient by yrain from Munich to Salzburg.
