Victoria was an exceptional guide. My family had an amazing visit to Salzburg —- seamless pickup; fun train ride through beautiful landscapes; a delicious lunch in the most scenic restaurant in the city where the waiters knew Victoria by name and gave us special attention; bespoke route through all of the sites that perfectly matched our priorities and ability to walk/climb; special treats from her favorite chocolate shop; and an easy and fast return to the train for a pleasant ride back to Munich with stories and laughter along the way. I can’t recommend this tour and Victoria any higher. A wonderful day!
Nicole was absolutely superb! We had a day of conversation centered not only on where we were headed, but on the intricacies of how our professions as musicians and Salzburg have intertwined over the proceeding five decades. I cannot imagine a more conversational, interesting, fun, kind, and delightful guide! Our lunch was excellent and perfectly placed in the day’s activities. We even got some tremendously early Christmas shopping in!
YAY! Thanks so much for this lovely feedback, Mark! We are so happy to read that you loved your adventure to Salzburg with Nicole! We hope you'll visit us again soon! :)
Great communication, easy meet up for train. Nicole our guide was excellent, very knowledgeable about all of the places we visited and spoke great English. We saw so many places in such a short amount of time. Lunch was very good. Enjoyed our German beer and meal! Salzburg is less than a two hour train ride from Munich. Fun and beautiful place to visit even though the weather was a little rainy. We loved our day with Nicole.

The tour went off perfectly from meeting us at the train station to the day long tour. We had a nice easy day touring Salzburg with a nice lunch. Our guide was entertaining and he was also very well informed about the history and culture of the area.

Victoria was our guide for this tour and she was amazing! Can’t recommend her enough! We loved her energy and enthusiasm for Salzburg and her knowledge of the area was incredible. She guided our small group of 5 effortlessly through the train system and got us to Salzburg with ease. Travel tips and fun facts were woven seamlessly throughout the day. Lunch at the top of the castle was picturesque- absolutely not to be missed. You don’t want to miss this tour!

Our family of 3 were so incredibly lucky to have had Victoria as our guide for our day trip to Salzburg. She was absolutely incredible! She guided us through the train system, the castle, downtown Salzburg, and everywhere in between with ease, humor, fun facts, and travel tips. She is also a great photographer! The highlight for us was lunch at the top of the castle. The view was picturesque and not to be missed. Highly recommend this trip!

Katrina structured the day to meet my wishes and guided me through the whole day- not just setting me loose on my own once we arrived in Salzburg. She deftly handled a train glitch in Munich (they canceled the train we were supposed to take from Munich- 10 minutes before it was supposed to leave, but the way it was posted on the train website was super confusing- it said to go to a different station to pick it up- I would never have figured the whole thing out on my own), coming up with alternate strategies and, because of her experience with the German train system, had already been monitoring preemptively for problems, so was able to decipher what had happened and figured out what to do next. Plenty of other people were still standing at the track not knowing the whole thing had shifted. She reminded me to bring my passport, which was key (From Germany to Austria! Even with the European Schengen, you DO need it on the way back into Germany- I would not have known that). Once in Salzburg, she was able to steer me toward the things I'd said I wanted to see in strategic ways to avoid the crowds and tourist traps (best cafe lunch, with astounding panoramic views!). We went to cool museums, shopped, laughed at goofy knicknacks, admired the architecture, visited the cemetery where the Von Trapps hid (Katrina explained how this cemetery, with acutely limited real estate, works- it's wild) and ogled the panoramic views. The fee was inclusive, so I wasn't shelling out for tickets, lunch, the funicular, etc- which made the whole day feel like a special treat. She kept us on track to make the train home according to when I told her I needed to be back. Overall a fun day. Highly recommend!

It was easy to meet up with our guide Julia at the Munich Central Station and we boarded our train to Salzburg. It ended up just being the six of us from my family so we were able to share what we wanted to see and leave the rest to be filled in by our guide. She provided brief details about our day and got to know us on our two hour journey. We visited the highlights on our walking tour (the fortress-take the panoramic tour, Mirabell Palace and Gardens, ate at a traditional restaurant, etc). We wanted to visit Mozart’s birthplace so ended with that. All in all, a GREAT day. I highly recommend. My only comment would be that we would have liked a little bit more history/background on Salzburg versus just visiting the sites. The final treat of the day was when Julia took us to the original chocolate treat in Salzburg: Salzburger Mozartkugel from Café-Konditorei Fürst. Such a fun day.
