Auf der Tour entlang der Südküste und zur Lagune erleben Sie die belebende Vielfalt der isländischen Landschaft hautnah. Von der Aussicht auf den Gletscher Vatnajokull, den Wasserfällen Skogafoss und Seljalandsfoss bis zu den glitzernden Eisbrocken am Diamond Beach an der Gletscherlagune Jokulsarlon. Auf dem Weg zur Gletscherlagune passieren Sie die Südküste von Island, ein Land mit herrlichen Wasserfällen, beeindruckenden schwarzen Sandstränden, riesigen Gletschern und Vulkanen, die mit Farmen übersät sind. Im Vatnajokull-Nationalpark haben Sie einen unvergesslichen Blick auf die Wildnis von Skaftaftary und fahren durch den glitzernden schwarzen Sand von Skeidarsandur. Direkt vor der Ankunft an der Lagune haben Sie auch einen Blick auf den größten aktiven Vulkan Islands, Oraefajokull.

Der berüchtigtste Vulkan Islands ist zweifellos der Eyjafjallajökull, der zuletzt 2010 ausbrach und in Europa Wochen Flugunterbrechungen verursachte.
Auf dem Rückweg von einem Besuch der Gletscherlagune halten Sie an einem der einzigartigsten Wasserfälle Islands: Seljalandsfoss. Was diesen Wasserfall so besonders macht, ist der Fußpfad hinter dem Wasserfall, der, wenn es das Wetter zulässt, eine völlig neue Perspektive bietet.
Bevor Sie die Jokulsarlon-Gletscherlagune erreichen, machen Sie Halt an Skogafoss, einem atemberaubenden Wasserfall, der Ihnen von einer Treppe einen fantastischen Blick von unten und oben ermöglicht.

Der Vatnajokull-Gletscher ist gewaltig und erstreckt sich über 14.000 km2. Es ist der Breidamerkurjokull, einer der vielen Abschnitte dieses großartigen Gletschers, der die magische Jokulsarlon-Gletscherlagune erschafft. Von dort aus ist ein einfacher Spaziergang hinunter zum Diamond Beach, wo Sie Eisberge sehen können, die am schwarzen Sandstrand angespült wurden und in der Sonne wie Juwelen glitzern.
Während des geplanten Stopps in Jökulsárlón empfehlen wir Ihnen, den nur wenige Gehminuten entfernten Diamond Beach zu besuchen, um die atemberaubenden Eisberge zu bewundern, die auf dem schwarzen Sandstrand verstreut liegen.
Im Vatnajokull-Nationalpark haben Sie einen unvergesslichen Blick auf die unberührte Landschaft von Skaftafpilly.
Fahren Sie durch den glitzernden schwarzen Sandstrand von Skeidarsandur.
Hier können Sie ein Mittagessen kaufen, Souvenirs erwerben oder einen kurzen Spaziergang durch das Dorf oder den Strand unternehmen.

The Glacier Lagoon is stunning. On the way there and back we visited a couple of stunning waterfalls. Our guide Lasma was so knowledgeable. It is a long day but you see so much of Icelands stunning countryside.

Long but fantastic tour! Wonderful scenery! Mikki was great! He made sure we had frequent restroom stops. The tour departed on time and the first pickup was smooth!

I had taken this tour three days prior, it was absolutely amazing! When I received the email confirmation, it explained for a 730 excursion. Waiting for the tour bus from 719 until 815 I called. They explained to me the excursion started at 7:30, but they stopped by to pick me up at 7 AM. I have been downstairs having breakfast and missed the bus! Truly a disappointment!! The main goal for this trip was to see the diamond Beach, that was the main part of this excursion. Thankfully, I had taken a previous excursion to win the diamond beach, but the weather was a little crappy. This day, the weather was beautiful, and I’m sure they had a wonderful time. Unfortunately, I missed out! I’m not pointing fingers, but I wish it would’ve been clearer on the email they sent to be in the lobby at seven and not 730. If you booked this trip, make sure you know what time they’re going to pick you up.

Be aware of tour start time. My ticket from Viator stated tour starts at 8:00 am and be at pickup location at 7:30 am. We arrived at 7:25 am and waited for 50 minutes with several other tour buses coming and going. I called the actual tour company to inquire about our tour only to find out that it actually started at 7:30 am and we should have been at the pickup location at 7:00 am. The bus left without us. I sent requested screenshots of the Viator ticket to the tour company so they can address it with Viator. I requested a refund from Viator explaining what happened. Viator did refund the entire amount within a couple of hours. Unfortunately, I can’t comment on the tour itself. This was our last day and we were unable to book for another day. This was NO fault of the tour company.

We had two of the most experienced and wonderful people to take care of us. Chris our guide was great, keeping us informed and making sure we were doing great! Robert , our driver took us safely for 14 hours through some of the most challenging wind storms I’ve ever been through!! Bravo!! Great tour

It is a thankful tour by the Chief who has gone over 800km. This tour takes at least eight hours away, so if you have a dry photo during the bus ride, it should be taken immediately. It's a great view because it doesn't stop. This part is so bad. It's unfortunate to understand a hundred times because of the tour time. Toilets and meals, rather often stop for shopping. Don't even ignore the money you need to spend at least to sit in the restaurant. The tour guide (Gunnar) is very knowledgeable and explains a lot on the bus, so the journey will be boring because it's long on the bus, but sometimes it seems boring for others. In other comments I saw a lot that we were going to see Aurora for the last time, but we didn't hear about Aurora, and there was no stop on the way home. As a result felt like a journey to the Diamond Beach. Of course, the nature of Iceland is indescribably beautiful. But it feels like it's just the price of oil and the cost of driving. If I had a glacier hiking tour I would also like to.

Overall incredible experience which was coordinated well and delivered on both the lagoon and diamond beach, providing an unforgettable experience.
