Rundgang durch Palma mit Führung inklusive Kathedrale

Beschreibung

Reiseverlauf

Luis great guide. My name did not appear of his roster despite confirmation email from the vendor. I provide the confirmation email and reservation number to Luis. True professional and reached out to the office. Appreciated calm demeanor and kindness. Great tour of old town and of the cathedral. Knowledgeable , enjoyed his storytelling skill and learned a lot. What pleasure! Nice way to spend my afternoon in Mallorca. Thank you!
Great tour of the Cathedral and its surroundings. Luis, our guide, was incredibly knowledgeable and able to share history and fun facts. Great intro to the city of Palma.
arrived in plenty of time , tour was only 1 hour instead of the 1.30 as described. you can learn what we were told on the web. disappointed. on the other hand guide was very nice . though some time hard to understand though it was in English
Thank you for your review. Unfortunately, we have to disagree with several of your statements because they are simply not accurate. The walking tour did not last one hour. It lasted almost the full 90 minutes as advertised. In fact, while the guide was still with your group at 15:08, sharing additional recommendations for restaurants and places to visit in Palma after the official tour had finished, your partner was so tired that he almost fell asleep twice inside the Cathedral. We have records confirming these timings. We also find it surprising that you state there was "nothing you couldn't learn on the web." Our licensed local guides provide historical context, stories, explanations and local recommendations that go far beyond what can be found by reading online. Finally, we would like to point out that before publishing this review you requested a full refund through Viator. After reviewing the case, Viator rejected your request because the tour was delivered as described. We appreciate your kind words about the guide, but we believe it is important that future travellers know that the tour duration and the service provided fully matched what was advertised. — The Nofrills Excursions Team
Excellent way to get a feeling for Palma and for Mallorca. Janine was excellent. Hit the highlight with excellent history as well as local flair on Palma today. Outstanding overview of the Cathedral and its history.
Thank you so much for your wonderful review! 🌴⛪✨ We're delighted to hear that you enjoyed the tour and found it to be an excellent introduction to both Palma and Mallorca. For many visitors, understanding the island's history, culture and local way of life adds a completely new dimension to their holiday. 😊 A special thank you for your kind words about Janine. She is passionate about sharing the stories, traditions and hidden details of Palma, and she'll be thrilled to know that her explanations helped bring the city and its history to life. 👏 We're especially pleased that you enjoyed the visit to the Cathedral. As one of Mallorca's most iconic landmarks, its fascinating history, architecture and artistic treasures make it a highlight of any visit to the island. At Nofrills Excursions, we believe that combining historical insight with local knowledge is the best way to truly discover Palma, and we're delighted that you felt the tour achieved exactly that. Thank you again for travelling with us, and we hope to welcome you back to Mallorca soon! ☀️🌴⛪ — The Nofrills Excursions Team 💙✨
We could not find the location to meet. In hindsight in reading reviews, others had the same difficulty. Yet the tour operator has not made it easier despite this issue. Tried communicating with the tour guide via Viator messaging (only option available) Got one message and no response to meeting at another location as the tour was 1.5 hours long and we were messaging 7 minutes into the tour. Viator refuses to refund our money. Will never use them again. Tours by Local going forward. We have always heard directly from the tour guide and had a way to communicate directly with the tour guide.
Thank you for your review, although it does not accurately reflect what happened. On the day of your tour there were 62 participants in total, including your party of four. The other 58 guests found the meeting point, arrived on time and joined the tour without any difficulty. Your group was the only one that did not. If 58 guests successfully locate the meeting point and only one party misses the tour, it is difficult to argue that the problem was the meeting point itself. The meeting point information was updated this year and includes detailed directions, a map, written instructions and contact options. You also had the possibility to contact us before the tour if you had any doubts, which you did not do. Arriving 10-15 minutes early, as clearly requested on the voucher, would have provided plenty of time to resolve any uncertainty. What is also surprising is that your own messages show that you were not entirely clear about the product you had booked. You wrote to us: "Ok. Requesting a refund as we had no way to communicate. And we were under the impression this tour was just for four." This was never advertised as a private tour. It is clearly described as a shared group tour. The timeline also contradicts your account. Your first message arrived at 11:37, after the tour had already started. We replied to you, and at 11:51 you wrote: "We are trying a different direction to see if we find you. Give us a few minutes." This shows that more than 20 minutes after departure you were still looking for the meeting point and were not close to the group. You mention Tours by Locals as an alternative, but omit the fact that comparable private tours there cost much more. They are completely different products. Finally, Viator reviewed all the information and rejected your refund request because the facts were clear: the tour operated normally, the meeting point instructions were provided, and 58 guests plus your own party's four places were accounted for, with only your group failing to arrive at the designated location on time. We understand that missing the tour was frustrating. However, it is unfair to blame the guide, the company or the tour itself for a situation that resulted from your group not reaching the meeting point as instructed. — The Nofrills Excursions Team
Janine the leader was excellent. She spoke well and kept a reasonable pace. Her knowledge of the cathedral was superior
Thank you very much for your review! 🌴⛪✨ We’re delighted to hear that you enjoyed the tour and that Janine helped make the experience so memorable. 😊 Her knowledge of Palma Cathedral and the history of Mallorca is truly exceptional, and we’re pleased that you appreciated both her explanations and the comfortable pace of the walk. A good walking tour should be informative, enjoyable and accessible, and it’s wonderful to know that this was your experience. Palma Cathedral is one of Mallorca’s most impressive landmarks, and having a knowledgeable local guide helps bring its history, architecture and fascinating stories to life. At Nofrills Excursions, we are proud to work with guides like Janine who are passionate about sharing the island’s heritage with our visitors. Thank you again for your kind words, and we hope to welcome you back to Mallorca soon! ☀️🌴⛪ — The Nofrills Excursions Team 💙
Fairly good tour. But probably could have done most of it on our own. Not a lot of historical content
Thank you for your feedback, Jolene. We're pleased to hear that you found the tour enjoyable overall. However, we are a little surprised by your comment regarding the historical content. This tour includes not only a guided walk through Palma's Old Town but also explanations about the city's Roman origins, medieval history, the Kingdom of Mallorca, the old city walls, local traditions, and a guided visit to the Cathedral. The amount of historical information provided is actually one of the aspects most frequently praised by our guests. Of course, every traveller has different expectations. Some visitors are looking for a deeper historical experience, while others prefer a lighter introduction to the city. Our aim is to strike a balance between history, culture, architecture and an enjoyable walking pace. That said, we do agree with one thing: Palma is a wonderful city to explore independently as well. The advantage of joining the tour is having a local guide to provide context, stories and insights that are often missed when visiting on your own, as well as the skip-the-line Cathedral entry included in the experience. Thank you again for joining us, and we hope you enjoyed discovering Palma and its beautiful Old Town. 🌴⛪✨ — The Nofrills Excursions Team 💙
Don’t book through Viator. Stood in a lineup for 1 1/2 hours for a taxi. Should have a shuttle or a better way to get people to the location.
This is a nice, historical and entertaining tour. A very walkable area and our guide was sensitive to keeping us in the shade on a hot day in May. Camy, our guide, is a school teacher, so she knows how to show pictures and explain events that affected Mallorca. It was nice of her to end the tour at the cathedral after we learned the history inside so that we could tour around on our own without feeling rushed. And she gave us an additional map at the end to highlight some restaurants and shops in the area. A good tour to do before you go. Have a nice marienda.
Thank you so much for your wonderful review! 🌴⛪✨ We’re delighted you enjoyed our Mallorca Old Town Walking Tour with Cathedral Skip the Line and that you found it both informative and entertaining. Camy will be thrilled to read your kind words. Her background as a teacher certainly helps bring Mallorca’s history to life, and we love that you appreciated her use of images and storytelling to explain the island’s fascinating past 😊 Keeping guests comfortable on warmer days, finding shady spots whenever possible, and allowing time to enjoy the Cathedral at your own pace are all small details that help make the experience more enjoyable. We’re also pleased that the local recommendations map was useful. We always try to give visitors a few extra tips so they can continue exploring Palma like a local after the tour ends. 🍴🗺️ At Nofrills Excursions, with over 20 years of experience in Mallorca, we believe the best way to discover Palma is through its history, culture and hidden corners. Thank you again for your recommendation, and we hope you enjoyed that well-deserved merienda! ☀️✨ — The Nofrills Excursions Team
Melanie was a fabulous tour guide! Melanie made the tour so much fun and informative. You need to double check the instructions for the meeting place as the address and the actual location do not match when using Apple Maps. Company advised to use google maps when I had to contact them to find the location, at the start time, although another couple who used google maps also were with us at the address given. So give yourself plenty of time to find the meeting place.
Thank you so much for your kind review, Alexis! 🌴✨ We’re delighted you enjoyed the Palma Old Town Walking Tour with Cathedral Skip-the-Line and that Melanie made it both fun and informative — she’ll be very happy to read your comments! We also appreciate your note about the meeting point. You’re absolutely right — we always recommend using Google Maps and allowing a bit of extra time, especially in the old town where some addresses can be tricky. Your tip will definitely help future travellers 👍 At Nofrills Excursions, with over 20 years of experience in Mallorca, we aim to provide well-organised tours with clear communication and great guides. We hope to welcome you again soon for another great experience in Palma! ☀️✨ — The Nofrills Excursions Team
