Ab dem Ende des 12. Jahrhunderts sind im Laufe der Zeit Spuren der antiken römischen Stadt Sellium erhalten geblieben. Pantheon der Tempelritter in Portugal
Die Hauptkirche der Stadt. Es stammt aus dem Anfang des 13. Jahrhunderts, obwohl alles, was wir heute noch sehen können, aus dem Ende des 15. Jahrhunderts stammt (manuelinischer Einfluss). Hier können wir den Glockenturm besteigen und eine tolle Aussicht genießen
Mitten im alten mittelalterlichen Judentum finden wir die Synagoge, die als die älteste in Portugal gilt (1. Hälfte des 15. Jahrhunderts), da sie von Grund auf neu erbaut wurde und von der Inquisition nie vollständig zerstört wurde – sie übernahm lediglich verschiedene Funktionen, von denen wir heute noch Spuren sehen können
Kleines Museum für zeitgenössische Kunst, das uns die Geburt der surrealistischen Bewegung in Portugal präsentiert (z. B. Werke von Júlio Pomar und Mário Cesarinny). Es ist auf die großzügige Schenkung aus dem persönlichen Nachlass von José-Augusto França zurückzuführen, dem ersten portugiesischen Kunsthistoriker – aus Tomar
Museum, das eine Privatsammlung von Aquiles Mota Lima mit 60.000 Beispielen von Streichholzschachteln aus buchstäblich der ganzen Welt (127 Länder) zeigt.
Auf der Spitze des Hügels finden wir die Templerfestung, die Burg Tomar, die in ihrem Inneren eines der größten Gebäude Portugals beherbergen wird und uns Spuren von der Romanik bis zum Barock (7 Jahrhunderte Geschichte) präsentiert. Hier wird die Beziehung zwischen dem Templerorden und dem Christusorden verstanden. Ein Eintauchen in das mittelalterliche Klosterleben und die gesamte Symbologie, ob es uns gefällt oder nicht, wird von Geheimnissen und Rätseln umgeben bleiben
eines der ältesten Aquädukte des Landes. Ergebnis der spanischen Herrschaft (1580-1640), aber in einer fabelhaften natürlichen Umgebung
der größte Garten der Stadt, wo wir von einem der 7 Hügel, auf denen sich eine Schaukel befindet, den Panoramablick genießen können
