Das Museum für lateinamerikanische Kunst in Buenos Aires, MALBA, wurde im September 2001 mit dem Ziel gegründet, lateinamerikanische Kunst vom Beginn des 20. Jahrhunderts bis zur Gegenwart zu sammeln, zu bewahren, zu studieren und zu verbreiten. Es ist eine private gemeinnützige Einrichtung, die ein Erbe von ungefähr 400 Werken der wichtigsten modernen und zeitgenössischen Künstler der Region bewahrt und ausstellt. Es kombiniert einen Kalender mit Wechselausstellungen mit der stabilen Ausstellung seiner institutionellen Sammlung und fungiert gleichzeitig als vielschichtiger Produktionsraum für kulturelle und pädagogische Aktivitäten
Verlieben Sie sich in das Floralis Generica, eine imposante 20 Meter hohe Skulptur, die den Platz der Vereinten Nationen im Viertel Recoleta dominiert. Es wurde der Stadt Buenos Aires vom argentinischen Architekten Eduardo Catalano geschenkt. Es besteht aus Edelstahl und Aluminium und wiegt 18 Tonnen. Es war die erste Skulptur in Bewegung, die durch ein Hydrauliksystem und Fotozellen gesteuert wurde. Der Name "Floralis Generica" ist eine Hommage an alle Blumen. Das Nationale Museum der Schönen Künste in Buenos Aires ist eine der wichtigsten öffentlichen Kunstinstitutionen in Argentinien. Die Juristische Fakultät ist eine von dreizehn Fakultäten der Universität von Buenos Aires. Es wurde 1874 gegründet und befindet sich seit 1949 in der Avenida Figueroa Alcorta 2263 im Stadtteil Buenos Aires von Recoleta. Der Friedhof von Recoleta ist ein berühmter Friedhof in der Stadt Buenos Aires. Das Gewölbe, in dem sich die Leiche von Eva Perón befindet, ist der von Touristen am meisten frequentierte Ort auf dem Friedhof von Buenos Aires Recoleta. Die Gräber, die sich 200 Meter links vom Haupteingangstor des Friedhofs befinden, gehören der Familie Duarte. Eva Perón ist fünf Meter unter der Erde im zweiten Untergeschoss. Die Überreste von María Eva Duarte de Perón kamen in den 70er Jahren an diesen Ort, als sie aus Spanien zurückgeführt wurden.

Herlado was the perfect guide. His knowledge of the sites we visited and overall South American history was incredible. He was friendly and totally engaged so that we felt it truly was a personal excursion. It was a highlight of our trip.
Franco was punctual, is knowledgeable, and did a good job explaining Recoleta Cemetery history. I may have even found one of my family members entombed on the same row as Evita Peron. If you like Cemeteries, I believe you will like these beautiful works of art and their fascinating history. Regrettably, due to my ailing back, I had to cut the tour short. Franco was understanding and assisted me getting an Uber to take me back to my short-term rental. THANK YOU, FRANCO!!
Our host, Pablo, enthusiastically shared Argentine history and Buenos Aires architecture and history all while exploring the Recoleta district on a walking tour. He was delightful. The tour was adjusted to our pace and interests.

He really knows his city and had many fascinating stories about the inhabitants, architecture and history of this great city. The pace was relaxed and yet we covered quite a bit of territory. Our tour guide brought the Recoleta neighborhood and cemetery to life. Rather than just wandering around we learned the history of Buenos Aires while we saw an important neighborhood. Her English was excellent and questions were encouraged. We passed many museums which I would loved to return to. The walk is about 1 1/2 to 2 miles so I would not recommend for those with mobility impairments.

We were a group of 6 couples from the US and Canada with only a few days in Buenos Aires following a Princess cruise to Antarctica. Signature Tours arranged 4 private tours for us and the Ricoleta walking tour was one of them. Our guide Rosti was the best ever—personable, very knowledgeable about Buenos Aires, and great fun to be with. Because we could customize our tour, he suggested a couple of wonderful options on our way to and from Ricoleta. We started our tour with coffee and the most beautiful, amazing pastries at La Ideal, a confiteria in a beautiful building that is being restored to its former French Belle Epoch glory. What a wonderful treat! We met the chef, bought his book, savored every bite. From there we proceeded to walk through parks and by the colorful Cultural Center, visited 2 beautiful churches, and strolled through the beautiful and interesting Ricoleta Cemetery. Rosti was fabulous, told us many interesting ghost stories, all with a twinkle in his eye. We finished up our tour with a “surprise” planned by Rosti, a visit to the amazing bookstore, El Ateneo Grand Splendid, just beautiful and a wonderful way to finish up our Buenos Aires tours. We can’t say enough about Rosti, who led us on two tours on different days. He loves his city and his country, is astute about history and current day matters, is a university professor and a fabulous, knowledgeable guide.
