Nach der Abholung reisen Sie zum Korouoma Nature Reserve, das sich abseits der belebten Touristengebiete befindet. Die Wanderung führt durch Waldwege und entlang des Schluchtenbodens, wo sich bei winterlichen Bedingungen gefrorene Wasserfälle bilden. Das Tempo ist moderat, mit Zeit, die Landschaft zu genießen, Fotos zu machen und etwas über die Geologie und Natur der Region zu erfahren. Während der Wanderung machen Sie Halt, um ein traditionelles lappländisches Barbecue mit heißen Getränken in einer ruhigen Umgebung im Freien zu genießen.

Beginnen Sie Ihre Erfahrung mit der Abholung in Rovaniemi und Transfer zum Korouoma Nature Reserve, etwa 1,5 Stunden von der Stadt entfernt. Nach Ihrer Ankunft beginnen Sie eine geführte Wanderung über Waldwege, die in das Schluchtgebiet führen. Die Route führt durch abwechslungsreiches Gelände, einschließlich Waldwege und Abschnitte entlang des Schluchtenbodens. Während der Wanderung besuchen Sie Gebiete, in denen sich im Winter gefrorene Wasserfälle und Eisformationen bilden. Die genaue Route wird von Ihrem Fortgeschrittener anhand der aktuellen Bedingungen ausgewählt. Nach Abschluss der Wanderung Rücktransfer nach Rovaniemi. Die Gesamtdauer beträgt etwa 6–7 Stunden.

The frozen water tour in Rovaniemi was an amazing winter wonderland experience. Walking across the frozen landscape felt magical, and the barbecue in the snow made the whole trip even more special. A simple, beautiful, and unforgettable adventure.
I had an incredible time! The guide and driver, Victor, truly went above and beyond to ensure everyone was safe and happy. Because the snow was melting a little, some parts of the hike were rather slippery, but Victor was very patient – he waited for everyone and offered help whenever it was needed. He was also a fantastic photographer, even lying down in the snow to get the best angles for our photos. Aside from the stunning views (the frozen waterfalls and the red river – just wow!), I learnt quite a bit about the geological formations and the flora and fauna around the canyon. And during the hike, Victor and our group picked up loose studs that had fallen off other hikers’ traction cleats. It felt so good to help preserve the environment, even in small ways! To top it all off, the BBQ was a nice touch. It was simple but cosy, set in a beautiful spot, and provided warming food after the hike. Highly recommend this tour and Victor to anyone visiting Rovaniemi!

Our day tour to Korouoma was beyond amazing! Our guide Natalia was outstanding leader and organiser. She kept the spirit of the group so high, she was smiling and welcoming us all. She gave us confidence and was unstoppable and full of energy I love every minute of this tour. Would repeat over and over again
We went to Frozen Falls with William and honestly, it was above all expectations. He shared a lot of interesting information about the area, which made the whole experience even better. He was super helpful on the tricky icy paths, and you can really see he cares about what he does. The waterfalls are incredible—definitely a unique adventure.

Our guide Bruno showed us some vantage points that we would not have found on our own and gave us a lot of knowledge. Vegan sausages were also organised on request for the barbecue.
