Roque Nublo : Wandern auf Vulkanen mit Sky Rebels

Beschreibung

Despite the closure of Roque Nublo due to fire risk, Inès and Juanjo offered us an alternative that allowed us to discover the peaks in the center of the island without hiking. Their knowledge of the island and their humor allowed us to learn many things and spend an excellent day in their company.
Highly recommend Sky Rebels. Small groups. Nice people. Unforgettable experience. Juanjo and Inés very good guides. Thanks!!!
My wife and I did this trip.I hike a lot where my wife doesn’t.They catered for us both. New transport was nice smooth ride with competent driving. Knowledge from native guides was vast with some humour. After tour made detour to the bus stop so we could go back to our hotel 20 miles away. Bus service on the Island is superb and not costly so please use.
Fantastic great trip and good guides with a lot of know-how. ↓ So nice to be a small group on a trip when you get better opportunity to ask questions and it’s easier to get along with what the guides tell 👍🏻 We were great with the weather and arrived at Roque Nublo in beautiful sunshine before the fog came in after a while up there. The trip can definitely be recommended
by the storm roque nublo was closed, they then gave us a fantastic alternative, saw very much of the island, been on the highest peak, seen volcanic crater, too much to mention, but it was a super fun day, very experienced and fun guides. definitely recommended. and along the way always fun entertainment. lots of laughter
Excellent small group (6 people) tour. Inez and Juan do their utmost to make this a great experience.
What an amazing Trip! Massive thanks to Inés, Juanjo and Lupita, their talking, singing van. Their enthusiasm was infectious and their knowledge of Gran Canaria and the geology of the rock formations was so interesting. We learnt so much. It was a breathtaking view from the top and we would thoroughly recommend this trip. It was great fun and we’ll definitely be going somewhere else with them again when we return to Gran Canaria.
Our hiking trip to Roque Nublo was one of our highlights to Gran Canaria. Our guides were fun, locals and super knowledgeable about the area and customs. We not only hiked but learned a lot along the way. We had appropriate stops which were appreciated and gave us an opportunity to learn a little more and regroup. Our group was small (we had 5) which gave us the personalized experience we we looking for. Well done!
Thank you very much Marcy for your review! Best, Inés & Juanjo
It was a fun and wonderful excursion. The guides knew a lot about the island and did this in a fun way. They also provided a lunch that was very tasty. In short, highly recommended!
Dankjewell Harriette en Sinne! See you next year! Inés & Juanjo
We recently took this tour company’s hiking excursion to see the iconic Roque Nublo, and overall it was a memorable experience that I’d recommend to the right travelers. The Journey There: Cheesy Fun The long drive to the trailhead could have been tedious, but Juan and Ines kept us thoroughly entertained with stories about ancient Canarian culture and history. Yes, it was a bit cheesy at times – especially when they had the van (affectionately named “Lupita”) “singing” to us – but honestly, their enthusiasm was infectious and made the time fly by. You could tell they genuinely loved sharing their island’s heritage and made us feel a part of their family during the tour. The Hike: Beautiful but Challenging Here’s where I need to set expectations straight: this hike is marketed as “easy,” but that’s misleading. While it’s only 1.5 kilometers, don’t let the short distance fool you. Some sections are quite steep and rocky, and you definitely need to be in decent physical shape to tackle it comfortably. I’d classify this as moderate difficulty, not easy. That said, the payoff is absolutely worth it. Roque Nublo is truly one of the most spectacular natural monuments you’ll ever see – a massive volcanic rock formation rising dramatically from the landscape. The views from the base are breathtaking and make every challenging step worthwhile. Food Considerations The tour includes lunch, which is a nice touch. However, as vegans, we found the options quite limited. We could only eat the gofio (a traditional Canarian flour-based dish that was actually quite interesting to try) and the apples. If you have dietary restrictions, I’d recommend bringing some backup snacks or discussing options with the company beforehand. Bottom Line Despite the misleading difficulty rating and limited food options for special diets, I’d still recommend this tour to anyone who wants to experience one of Gran Canaria’s most iconic natural wonders. Just come prepared for a workout and bring extra snacks if needed. Best for: Reasonably fit hikers who enjoy cultural storytelling and don’t mind a bit of cheesy entertainment along the way. Bring: Good hiking shoes, water, and backup snacks if you have dietary restrictions.
Thank you very much for your review, Edmund. We apologise for your food issue. We would like to remind you that you can contact us once you have made your booking to let us know about any dietary restrictions and to clarify any questions you may have about the activity. Regards, Inés & Juanjo
