Amazing kayaking experience! The clear water & terrain was beautiful and as someone who does not live in Florida, it was really cool to see gators in the wild. Our guide was “Dani” and she was so professional, very knowledgeable and simply a joy to have leading us. I highly recommend this activity to anyone in the area looking for something unique and fun to do. I would recommend going early to avoid crowded waters (I went at 8:45am and it was perfect) and be prepared for an arm workout. 10/10 experience!
Thank you so much for paddling out with us at Rock Springs!! We're so glad you had such an amazing time with Dani. She's the best!! We hope to see you again next time!
My wife and I had a wonderful kayaking experience in the Orlando area. Our guide, Megan, was friendly, knowledgeable, and made everyone feel safe and welcome from the very beginning. They explained everything clearly, kept the group together, and shared interesting information about the local wildlife and nature along the way. The tour was well organized, relaxing, and a great way to experience Florida’s beautiful natural environment. We especially appreciated the positive attitudes and professionalism of Megan helped make the trip memorable for everyone. Thank you for such a great experience! We highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the Orlando area.
Megan is the absolute best and we're so glad you thought so too!! We love when our guests are able to take away some knowledge about the waterway! We're glad Megan made your tour that much more special. We hope to see you again next time!!
Unique and peaceful, my daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed this tour. My daughter and I both felt that our tour guide - Ms. Megan - made all the difference! She was knowledgeable, high-energy, and just a great personality. I might go back just to take another tour with her! (:-

Amazing- Megan, with all those details thing
Thank you so much for your 5 star review!!
Loved this kayak trip with my phenomenal guide Megan. The springs were perfectly clear and no more than 6 feet deep, albeit a bit crowded because it was a holiday. It was a nice paddle upstream with several spots to jump out in and swim in shallow water. Megan gave us history and took photos. The parking situation is a mess though, with most people basically having to park in a ditch alongside a two lane road. While I would highly recommend this tour, I do believe that it is worth noting experienced kayakers and those on a budget could easily rent kayaks directly from Kings Landing for a significantly lower price and do the same paddle themselves as it is a straight out and back. I saw a lot of people doing this and hanging out at swimming spots for longer to enjoy lunch. Overall, I enjoyed this about a million times more than the theme parks and will do this tour over Disney the next time I’m in Orlando.
Thank you so much for the awesome review! We're thrilled to hear you had such a great time on the water with Megan. She'll be so happy to hear your kind words. We're glad you enjoyed the springs, swimming spots, and the chance to learn a little history along the way. Hearing that you enjoyed your tour more than the theme parks may be one of the best compliments we could receive! Thanks again for paddling with us, and we hope to see you back on the springs the next time you're in Orlando!
Our experience was great. We had a terrific guide. David was knowledgeable, great with kids/teens and enthusiastic.
Thank you so much for your kind words about our guide, David! He's the best!
Best to schedule an early experience so you can mitigate the parking mayhem. Know that even if you complete an online waiver for Get Up and Go, you will have to complete another one on site with the owners of the property. Go inside the cottage that has a sign for registration. That line can be very long depending on when you arrive. If you wore shoes or sandals , that’s ok - you will remove them and they will be kept in a safe place. The “clear” kayaks are actually kind of scratched up, so not completely clear. However, the paddle through the Emerald Cut on the Rock Springs Run is absolutely gorgeous. It is not difficult. Our guide (whose name escapes me) was very good. She had to spend a lot of time with some of the inexperienced paddlers in the group. We didn’t mind - it gave us time to just drift and take in the beautiful scenery. We were here on a weekday and although it wasn’t crowded when we started, by the time we were on the return trip it was much more so. Some of those without guides don’t know how to be safe. Also there are sections where you can get out of the kayak and splash around a bit. These areas were crowded. None of these issues were the fault of the Get Up and Go people, hence the 5 star review. Hope this info will be helpful to others!
Thank you so much for the detailed and thoughtful review! We're thrilled you enjoyed the beauty of the Emerald Cut and had a great experience with your guide. We also appreciate you sharing helpful tips for future guests regarding arrival times and parking. Thanks for paddling with us and for recognizing that some of the busier spring conditions are outside of our control. We hope to welcome you back for another adventure soon!
