When we came to Roatan, we really wanted to see the mangroves, and I am so glad we went with these tour guides. After an incredible experience night snorkeling with them a few days before, we were so happy to see that they offered a mangrove tour! Our boat captain lived right in Jonesville (where the mangroves are) and was able to provide such unique insights on the history of the mangroves and how they support the community. The day snorkeling was also incredible! After snorkeling on our own in West Bay and West End, we weren't sure about how different day snorkeling in French Key would be, but it was literally like snorkeling in an aquarium! It was by far the most beautiful location we had snorkeled in all week. Our guides were so accommodating, kind, insightful, and fun; I am so glad they were part of our Roatan experience!
We had a great tour with Jacob. He took us to tour the mangroves and snorkeling. We had a wonderful time with him and every guide/boat driver along the way. He stopped at Macaw Market to let us visit the chocolate factory and get coffee at West Pickers Coffee Roasters. 10/10 experience. Highly recommend.
We booked this trip when sailing the Allure of the Seas. This was just our family of 4. Pick up at port was easy. Jacob was our driver for the day. He was fun and friendly!! If you can request a driver Jacob is definitely the guy we'd want again. The mangroves were beautiful and our boat guide was friendly. After mangroves we wentbsnokling. The reef was absolutely gorgeous. Our captain and snokling leader were great. We had time after that Jacob took us for some delicious conch and than stopped for chocolate and coffee.
Jacob was an excellent guide and the tour was great. Good communication, knowledgeable guide and very beautiful tours. In all a great day!
This tour was a fantastic introduction to Honduras. Jacob was an engaging and accommodating tour guide who made sure to point out the iconic landmarks and provided fun facts about the local area. If there is extra time, they are even willing to take you to the nearby sloth and monkey sanctuary. We can’t wait to plan our next trip back.
This is a good tour for exploring the island of Roatan. We booked it from our cruise ship and the pick up and arrival arrangements were excellent, as was our driver and guide Alan (call me Al). It is chaos as you get off the ship and go out into the town but ignore all offers, look for the sign and you'll see it amongst lots of other tours. If you haven't been to a mangrove river before that will be interesting but note it takes almost an hour to drive there and then another 30 minutes to drive onwards to the snorkling. The snorkling was great if you love that but if you are a bit nervous or not experienced with snorkling, be aware they take you into the ocean and then you have to get off the back off the boat into reasonably choppy and dark waters. The boat guides are excellent, give you clear instructions and are in the water with you throughout. They steer you along the route, pointing out interesting things to see. We saw some pretty coloured fish and a giant crab. From there its a 15 minute drive back to the port. It was cheaper than the cruise ship tours and we usually find them better value.
The mangroves are beautiful! The ride on the dori was fun and our guide was fantastic. Unfortunately the trip is only about 30 minutes. It's a long ride to Jonesville, and the snorkeling and mangroves are not in the same location so there is a lot of time on the road.
The trip was fun, we had a great time. The combination of the canals and the snorkeling was perfect.
This was an awesome experience from start to finish. The people who run this operation are polite and very knowledgeable about the island. The hospitality was top notch!! I would definitely recommend them for anyone looking for a fun and relaxing day in Roatan. We thoroughly enjoyed our day.
The drive to the mangroves was a little far from our hotel, but our driver, Phillip, more than made up for the length of time it took to get to the mangroves with descriptions of what we were passing by and the history. The mangroves were stunning and the snorkeling in French Cay was amazing as well.
