Roatan Beach und Schnorcheln Pause

It was OK. The driver was great. Gave a good insight into the island life. The snorkeling was a little disappointing. There was plenty of coral, just not much in the way of variety and number of fish. I had just come from Cozumel, where the sea life abounded. The beach area was adequate. There is a guard who watches your belongings. Overall, for a novice snorkeler it would be fine. But it was worth the price.

Great experience. Spent about an hour snorkeling on the reef and another couple hours relaxing on the beach. Great food also and it was reasonably priced. Orie was our driver and he told us a lot of cool things about the island as we were driving around. He also waited the whole time and was ready to leave whenever we were.

We had a wonderful shore excursion in Roatan! A big part of that was our tour guide, Joel, who was absolutely amazing. He was incredibly caring, attentive, and made sure everything went smoothly throughout the day. What really stood out was how much he shared about Roatan—its culture, history, and his own background—which made the experience feel much more personal and meaningful. The snorkeling experience was well organized, and we were given close to an hour in the water, which felt like a good amount of time. The snorkeling guides were great and helpful throughout. Unfortunately, we didn’t see a lot of fish during our time in the water, but it was still an enjoyable experience. The beach facilities were very nice, with comfortable beach chairs, showers, clean restrooms, and easy access to a restaurant and bar, which made relaxing afterward very convenient. There were also plenty of local vendors selling handmade/local items, which added to the authentic feel of the experience. We especially enjoyed having fresh tender coconut from one of the local vendors! Overall, a very enjoyable and well-managed excursion, made even better by Joel’s warmth and hospitality.

My favorite cruise port of the trip! Michael was an EXCELLENT tour guide and host! I felt very safe with him. He knows the area like the back of his had and knew everyone in town. He picked us up promptly and told us that the day was ours to plan. We chose to start by going to a high viewpoint for photos then headed to the beach. Our snorkeling boat guide picked just the two of us up right on our beach and we got to snorkel for 1.5 hours. Our beach day was at Bananarama Resort. The beach was beautiful and not over crowded! A beach chair came with our day and we had access to their clean bathrooms and outdoor shower. We could order food and drinks from their restaurant bar. The shrimp tacos were incredible!! And be sure to get the Monkey Lala, Roatan’s signature drink! We let Michael know when we were ready to head back and he stopped by the rum cake shop for us to sample cakes and buy some souvenirs. We were back to port in plenty of time! Ask for Michael! He is a big part of why I think I would return to Roatan one day!

Everything was perfect! We were picked up directly from the ship and taken to a small speedboat. A young guide then took us out to sea. He attached the boat to a buoy, handed us the diver's fins and we went into the water. He showed us the most beautiful places underwater. We saw fish of all colors, corals of all shapes and beautiful big colorful shells. After about an hour we went back by boat. On land, our driver was already waiting. He drove us to an absolute dream beach. We got a bracelet and then we could use the sun loungers in the shade under the palm trees, the toilets, the changing rooms and had very good WiFi. The driver stayed with us on the beach until we had to go back to the ship. Everything was perfectly organized. It was a wonderful day. Many thanks to the whole team.

Our guide, Josh, was wonderful. It was not beach weather, so he took us to chocolate factory and up in the hills for panoramic photo opportunity. The snorkeling was amazing.

Our tour guide was great, very flexible and accommodating, and did not rush us at all. The snorkeling was fantastic. Beautiful reefs!! I went snorkeling again a couple of days later in Cozumel and while I saw more variety of sea life, the reefs were not as beautiful.

Joshua was amazing. We initially had a problem with the catamaran that came for our family snorkel trip. But Joshua stepped up and fixed it all for us. We had to reschedule for the following day in order to use a different boat but Joshua quickly organized a zip line adventure for us. Both excursions ended up being wonderful and we really appreciated Joshua’s quick thinking solutions. Highly recommend booking excursions with him, especially when staying at Kimpton grand roatan
