Das ehrgeizigste Projekt von Mexiko-Stadt im 20. Jahrhundert, eine Universitätsstadt, beherbergt die Zukunft Mexikos, wo die wichtigsten Intellektuellen, die unser Land hervorgebracht hat, studiert haben, wie zum Beispiel der Nobelpreisträger Octavio Paz. Es wurde als Funktion der Architektur mit Wandgemälden von Rivera, Siqueiros, O Gorman und anderen Künstlern erbaut, die wir Ihnen im Detail erklären werden.
Im Auftrag von Diego Rivera entwarf Juan O'Gorman 1931 eines der ersten funktionalistischen Gebäude in Lateinamerika: ein Haus für den Maler und ein weiteres für seine Frau Frida Kahlo, in denen jedes sein eigenes Atelier hatte. Es befindet sich im Süden von Mexiko-Stadt und ist der Bewahrung der Erinnerung an den Wandmaler und seine Frau gewidmet. sowie das Studium und die Analyse seiner künstlerischen Generation.
Die Stätte zeichnet sich durch ihre umfangreiche Sammlung prähispanischer Kunst sowie durch ihren Ökologischen Raum aus, der endemische Flora und Fauna beherbergt. Rivera entwarf das architektonische Werk, um seine umfangreiche Sammlung präkolumbianischer Stücke zu schützen und gleichzeitig die schönsten Werke dieses Komplexes im Hauptgebäude auszustellen. Zu sehen sind 16 Skizzen für verschiedene Wandgemälde, die Rivera in den frühen 1930er Jahren angefertigt hat. In ihnen kann man die Meisterschaft der klassischen Komposition bewundern, die der Wandmaler in seiner Jugend erlernt hat. Ein geborener Künstler sein

Exceptional tour discovering lesser-known places that take your breath away. A special thanks to Jesus, who with his enthusiasm guided me in discovering Mexican history and mythology. A tour not to be missed!
We had a wonderful personalized tour with Tiare who was inquisitive, informative and friendly. We enjoyed her knowledge about the history of the university murals and Olympic stadium and then went to see Diego and Frida’s studio space. Unfortunately we did not have time to visit the 3rd stop on the tour as we had Casa Azul booked later that afternoon. However instead Tiare took us to a local market to taste delicious tacos and explore the area around casa azul prior to our appointment. We had a great day and would definitely recommend Tiare as a tour guide for others and for our return to CDMX!

I had the pleasure of experiencing Jorge’s Legacy tour in Mexico City as a private tour. We visited UNAM, the Diego Rivera and Frida Kahlo Studio House Museum, and concluded at the Museo Anahuacalli with its impressive pre-Hispanic art collection. Jorge is an exceptional guide—articulate, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about Mexican art and culture. His enthusiasm brought each location to life, and having the tour to myself allowed for a perfectly tailored experience. Highly recommend for anyone interested in Mexican art and history!
This was one of the best tours we have been on. Our guides combined the history of Mexico with architectural and art history insights. We enjoyed the tour of the the University and the Frieda Kahlo and Diego Rivera houses, but the true highlight was visiting the Museo Anahuacalli at the end. A fabulous day!
