River Tubing Fidschi, Navua-Fluss

The tour guides are awesome and they will take care of you and your children during the whole experience. A must when you visit! If your not capable of doing any part of the tour, they will put you on the boat so you dont have to worry.

This genuinely lived up to the hype. Full day out of Suva: longboat ride upriver through the rainforest and rocky gorges, a real Fijian village visit, a waterfall swim, riverside lunch, then a fun, lazy tube ride back down the river to finish. The staff made the whole day. Both captains, the instructors, everyone who looked after us, all local Fijians who genuinely knew and loved the culture and history. At the village, they explained how everything worked and gave real context on the community, not a rehearsed tour spiel. After the village, we walked uphill through a forest garden trail back toward the river, and the guides pointed out local flora along the way, including giant bamboo so tall it arched over, something I'd never seen before. They explained what each plant was, how they found and used it, and what traditional medicines are made from them locally. Genuinely fascinating. On the drive back, one of the guides shared so much Fiji history, the river, other rivers, nature, even the history of cannibalism, all fascinating. I'd done river tubing before elsewhere and expected more of the same. The village visit, the garden walk, and the people running the tour made this a completely different, genuinely special cultural experience. Highly recommend.

Great day out. A lot of fun zooming up the river in the long wooden boats, fascinating to visit the isolated village and a real hoot coming down a section of the river on the inner tubes. The staff were great fun and looked after us and fed us really well. For a bit of a different and memorable adventure would recommend.

Wonderful experience on the Navua river well organised, 10/10 to all the guides, they were very friendly and helpful . Visit to the village was great and we even had local children singing to us after their church service. Communication with their office could have been better but it didn’t take away from the overall experience.

This trip was great!! But BUYER BEWARE!!! They will offer you pictures of the whole day for $35 FJD!After paying you WILL NOT get an email!! That’s really shady!!! Dougie took our pictures the whole day, yet we never got any of them! Do not pay the extra!

So be prepared if you are in Danaru. It is a 3 hour drive there. You will see alot of villages and scenery. Once you are there you will be taking a small boat up the river and tube partially down the river. You will see some amazing sites. The tour guides take very good care of you. It is definitely an excursion worth taking. I highly recommend it.

What an amazing day out on the river! Our guide, Ben, was fantastic, informative, and funny! Scenery is great as you take a long boat up the river, the lunch is delicious (highly recommend the ferns!), and the village visit was neat. Great to see how a Fiji-owned company is helping the villages out. Everyone was friendly and the best part was all the guides serenading everyone at the end of the tubing. Great activity for all ages, met so many great people. Transport was well-organized and everything was seamless. Vinaka!

An excellent experience going to a village and talking to the locals, seeing their culture to a wonderful spread for lunch and an amazing time tubing and boating along the the river. All the staff were so friendly and kind

This was a great experience! You take a small canoe type boat with a motor 17 kilometers up the river past beautiful waterfalls and other scenery. You visit a village and see how the locals live. Then you get the chance to swim under a cascading waterfall. Lunch beside the river consists of salad, cassava, fresh fruit, bread and chicken that was freshly cooked over a fire onsite. The staff encourages everyone to go back and get second and thirds. Then you tube back down the river and over the rapids. Ben was our guide and he was awesome! He was professional, helpful and very entertaining. I highly recommend this activity!
