Reisen Sie von Bangkok zum historischen River Kwai, wo Kriegsgeschichten auf Dschungel-Gelassenheit treffen. Begeben Sie sich auf eine Zeitreise zu den ikonischen Stätten des Zweiten Weltkriegs, einschließlich Brücke über den Fluss Kwai und Todesbahn. Besuchen Sie Thailand-Birma Railway Centre für Einblicke in raue Bedingungen, die Kriegsgefangene während des Baus erlitten. - Diese Tour wird sowohl auf privater Basis als auch auf gemeinsamer / Seat-in-Coach-Basis durchgeführt. Gemeinsame Touren werden nur mit einem englischsprachigen Guide durchgeführt.
- Gäste werden gebeten, nicht mehr als einen Koffer und ein Handgepäckstück pro Person auf Transfers mitzunehmen, da in Privatautos Gepäckraum zur Verfügung steht.
- Transfers werden nur innerhalb der Innenstadt von Bangkok durchgeführt und sind nur auf die Haupthotels beschränkt. Regionen außerhalb des zentralen Geschäftsviertels wie Khao San Road, Rattanakosin, Nonthaburi, Thonburi, Minburi, beide internationalen Flughäfen, Ratchadapisek und Upper Sukhumvit (Soi 55 und weiter) sind ausgeschlossen und es fallen zusätzliche Gebühren an.
- Sollten Sie eine gemeinsame / Seat-In-Coach-Exkursion gebucht haben, können wir Ihnen keine genauen Teilnehmerzahlen mitteilen, da sich diese bis zum allerletzten Moment ändern können.
- Wir werden alles tun, um während dieses Ausflugs alle diätetischen Anforderungen zu erfüllen. Aufgrund der Auswahl an lokalen Restaurants ist es möglicherweise nicht immer möglich, Ihre Wünsche im Voraus zu bestätigen.
- Die während dieser Tour genutzte Unterkunft ist eine einfache Unterkunft mit grundlegenden Annehmlichkeiten. Dazu gehören möglicherweise keine Klimaanlage (nur Ventilator), fehlendes WLAN und/oder warmes Wasser. Aufgrund der Lage unserer Übernachtungsadresse und abgestimmt auf das Konzept dieses Soft-Adventure-Erlebnisses.
- Wasser hat eine zerstörerische Wirkung auf elektronische Geräte. Es liegt in der Verantwortung des Kunden, sicherzustellen, dass jede Kamera, jedes Mobiltelefon oder ein anderes Gerät ordnungsgemäß verpackt und vor diesen Elementen geschützt ist. Der Leitfaden kann in keiner Weise für Fahrlässigkeit und / oder Nichtbefolgung von Vorschlägen für damit zusammenhängende Schäden haftbar gemacht werden.
- Die Check-in- und Check-out-Zeiten werden von jedem einzelnen Hotel geregelt und im Allgemeinen (Ausnahmen sind möglich, für die wir nicht verantwortlich gemacht werden können) ist die Check-in-Zeit in den Hotels nicht vor 14:00 Uhr, da die Check-out-Zeiten früher sind 12:00 Uhr. Zusätzliche Zuschläge können anfallen, wenn Kunden einen frühen Check-in/späten Check-out wünschen.
- Diese Tour beinhaltet das Fahren über unebene Wege, Oberflächen und holprige Offroad-Straßen, die für Schwangere, Personen mit Nacken- und Rückenproblemen und Personen mit eingeschränkter Mobilität ungeeignet sind.
- Wir werden uns immer bemühen, die genaue Abholzeit bei der Reservierung zu bestätigen. Bei betrieblichen Problemen, bei denen die genaue Abholzeit nicht im Voraus bestätigt werden kann, behalten wir uns das Recht vor, Sie am Tag vor Beginn der Tour zu informieren.
- Bitte beachten Sie, dass der Abhol- und Bringservice für Kunden, die in Privatresidenzen, Apartmentkomplexen oder anderen nicht registrierten Tourismusunterkünften übernachten, möglicherweise nicht bestätigt wird. Kunden können gebeten werden, sich in einem nahe gelegenen Hotel zur Abholung und Rückgabe zu treffen.
- Naturelemente jeglicher Art wirken sich zerstörerisch auf elektronische Geräte aus. Honestly, I booked this tour to stay on the river rafts. But once we got to the museum, I found the history fascinating. My favorite historial site - Hell Fire pass. The Jungle River Raft Hotel was everything I hoped for - unique, unpretensous and calm. Loved the hammock on the back porch that was in deep shade and the way the raft gently rocked when boats went by. And a shout out to the Mon people that work at the hotel, especially Sam, my guide. I felt well cared for. A fabulous experience! Wish I could have stayed longer.

Everything was well organised, and the guide even rang my hotel and told them to organise a breakfast box for me as early morning start. You are kept moving through the activities and always fed and watered and it was just very easy as everything was taken care of. The hotel was amazing, make sure you take your bathers so you can jump in to the river and ride the current. Also, no electricity in the room which is a nice change, but I would recommend taking a headlamp, as they give you a torch but the headlamp so much easier. The hotel staff, the Mon people are so warm and friendly and were great hosts. I actually enjoyed the train journey a lot more than I thought I was going to. I did one night and was happy with that, but seemed most people stayed for two. I think both would be fine, and don't hesitate if you just want to do one. I came back to Bangkok happy.

The starting tour was very interesting and informative, especially with the tour guide within the coach. After we got transferred to a new host/tour guide, Pat. He is such a energetic, funny person. I would recommend to go as that is just a part of the experience. In addition the rafts were such a nice change of pace from Bangkok.

Please note that there is no electricity in the room. It's very dark in the room. The available lights give low light. Location and decor of the resort is beautiful. Also swimming in the river is a great experience. We are 2 days guided by Pad, who is in the resort jack of all trades. Besides being a guide, he is also a Moon dancer and waitressed in the restaurant. He is extremely enthusiastic and knows a lot about Thai and Moon culture. He himself lives in the adjacent Moon village.

As mentioned in the tour details prior to booking, the overnight stay at River Kwai follows a unique eco-floating concept without electricity in the rooms. That said, the rooms are fully equipped with comfortable beds, mosquito nets, a private bathroom and traditional oil lamps that create a warm and atmospheric setting in the evening. The simplicity is intentional and part of the off-the-grid jungle experience. We’re very happy to hear you enjoyed the stunning surroundings, swimming in the river, and especially your time with Pad. My partner and I booked the two days/one night options as part of 2 weeks in Thailand and we are so glad we did! Everything about this experience was absolutely phenomenal. Collection from our hotel was simple, communication from the tour operator via WhatsApp was consistent and helpful and the trip itself was just the right amount of activity and relaxation. There were 6 of us on the tour and it was lovely getting to know each other over delicious meals during the trip. We felt like enough time was given for each part of the tour for us to take something valuable away from it. Transport from and back to Bangkok was seamless and was with a variety of modes - from comfortable air conditioned minibus to the museum and River Kwai bridge, to the long boat that took us to our amazing jungle raft. The accommodation was utterly unique (be prepared for no electricity or warm shower). The room was simply beautiful, clean and comfortable and we thoroughly enjoyed the welcoming staff, particularly Pat, who was enthusiastic, helpful and passionate about sharing so much information about the area, the Mon people and their culture and experiences through traditional entertainment in the evening and visiting the village the next morning. We thoroughly recommend this to anyone who wants to see a very cultural and beautiful part of Thailand.

This has got to be the most incredible experience with local people of any place I’ve ever had, the mon people are amazing and their culture should be preserved and shared because it is wonderful. I was so sad to learn the history of the POW in Thailand and Myanmar and learning about the hellfire pass history. Wow what a tragedy. This story will forever live on. Fantastic tour, with adequate time at each of the stops to take in the atmosphere of a terrible time on history. Highlight was absolutely staying in the floating hotel and floating down the river surrounded by nature. Cultural show and tour of the local village was well presented by Bligh, our fabulous tour guide. feeding Wendy the elephant was an added experience. Would totally recommend this tour.
