Rijksmuseum Amsterdam Kleingruppentour mit privatem Upgrade

Beschreibung

Our guide Wybe, was very eloquent and informative about the amazing Dutch art masterpieces we saw. I am not normally a big art museum devotee but the helpful explanations, details and stories that Wybe shared, brought this art to life for me. I am very grateful for the experience 🙏
Daniel was EXCELLENT and so knowledgeable! He was open to our group asking questions. He was polite, funny and respectful. Five stars for Daniel! We saw all the “important” works of art so if you only have the day, you get to take all that in! He pointed out where to go next and what other things might be of interest! Highly recommend this small group tour!
Martina did an amazing job. Her knowledge of the artwork is outstanding. Great flow to the tour.
We had Kirby as our tour guide and she was excellent. The pace was great and the amount of information was exactly right. You do not do the whole museum on this tour but just the highlights. That said, you cover a lot of ground and different types of art. From the European masters to pottery, to ship models and even doll houses. The doll houses were incredible. Kirby not only explained the details of the art we were looking at but gave us the story about the artist, and as well as what the art meant in the scheme of The Netherland's history. After the tour we had lunch in the museum cafe (not included) and it was good as well. We then explored the other parts of the museum on our own. A great way to spend a day if you are in Amsterdam and interested in visiting this museum.
Martina is an excellent, knowledgeable tour guide with clear communication, humor, and adaptability.
Clare was such an amazing tour guide. Everything was so awesome to see and she made the art so much more interesting. She opened my eyes to things I wouldn’t have known before. We were there for around 2 hours and I wish it could’ve gone longer! Clare is the best!!!
Martina was excellent. She is a wealth of knowledge about Dutch art history. I thoroughly enjoyed her tour.
OVERVIEW: This is a must-do for anyone visiting Amsterdam, especially for the first time. As we exited the transit stop there were street musicians that filled the air with spectacular music. The meeting point was super easy to find and spotting the "orange umbrella" couldn't be missed. We walked as a group into the museum and the 7 of us (8 including the guide) enjoyed a fantastic tour of the museum, hitting the highlights it had to offer, critiquing the artwork's depictions, and imagining the perspective of the time. HIGHLIGHT: Our tour guide, Kiran was extremely thought-provoking, asking us to consider what makes something art. He gave us some critical thinking skills as we headed into the museum. It was a great backdrop to critique the art we saw and think about the people and culture of the time. DRAWBACK: When we first arrived, some people needed to use the restroom. I understand that when you gotta go you gotta go, but it ate into the tour time, which was already limited. TIPS: • Bottled water must be stored, so bring a tote bag or small backpack. • Don't expect to see the highlight piece, The Nightwatch, without scaffolding and some obstruction. As I understand it now, it's been under intensive restoration for many years. Just set your expectations accordingly.
This was my first time doing a museum tour and I highly recommend it. My guide was an art history expert and art restorer so she gave a lot of insights into the paintings, and I discovered so much more about the art than I would have on my own. What’s great too is your tickets are good all day even after the tour so you can still explore the museum as much as you want.
The tour tied the artwork into Dutch history at the time giving the works context. A very enjoyable and educational experience.
