Am 18. März 2023 wurde das Museum mit 30 % mehr Rembrandt wiedereröffnet. Es wurden fünf neue Museumsräume hinzugefügt, darunter ein Epilograum, ein Radierdachboden und ein dritter Ausstellungsraum. Die neue Multimedia-Tour erweckt das Rembrandt-Haus und das 17. Jahrhundert wirklich zum Leben. Sie verfolgen Rembrandts Lebensgeschichte, von seiner Ankunft als ehrgeiziger Starkünstler bis zu seiner erzwungenen Abreise aufgrund einer Anhäufung von Schulden. Darüber hinaus gibt es im Museum täglich Radier- und Malvorführungen. An genau dem Ort, an dem Rembrandt seine Meisterwerke schuf, in seinem Atelier, erfahren Sie, wie er seine Farbe herstellte. Im neuen Radierdachboden erfahren Sie mehr über Rembrandts Radiertechniken. Es ist, als würden Sie dem Künstler über die Schulter schauen.

The exhibition is comprehensive and rich, the staff is friendly, and it is not enough to go back and forth and look at some exhibition area.
This house/museum is really interesting. I enjoyed seeing the house in which Rembrandt lived; the details are fascinating. His studio area was also really neat!
Great place for anyone who wants to know more about the history of the person, the painter

I didn’t know much about Rembrandt apart from a few of his most famous paintings and etchings, and I found the house and studio really interesting. I particularly enjoyed seeing how the studio was set up to teach his students. Oh, and the demonstration of making paint was great. The audio guide was very good - there is no written information, so the headphones are essential. We didn’t book ahead and it was no problem on a weekday, no queue. I see tickets are cheaper in the last hour but we were in there for 2-3 hours so that wouldn’t have worked for us.

I didn’t know much about Rembrandt, I only know his famous painting “the Nacht Wacht” and his self portraits. It was interesting to see the house as it probably was in his time, along with his studio. I enjoyed it very much.

The Rembrandhuis is a nicely designed museum. The audio tour helps you to get individual information about the piece in the museum you are in. But you set the pace yourself. The lesson on etching makes the whole thing a vivid experience. Definitely do this museum!
