Piemont (Piemonte auf Italienisch) bedeutet „Fuß der Berge“. Turin, die größte Stadt der Region, ist nicht nur die Autohauptstadt Italiens und Heimat des Heiligen Grabtuchs. Neoklassizistische Plätze, Geschäfte voller Schokolade und schicker Mode sowie elegante Barockpaläste wurden im großen Stil restauriert. Wir sind ein kleines Team und möchten, dass Sie die Schönheit Turins entdecken. Das Piemont ist eine geschichtsträchtige Region, die mindestens einmal im Leben einen Besuch wert ist. Wir schlagen vor, aber Sie entscheiden, was Sie sehen und tun möchten. Unsere Gruppe besteht aus maximal 3 Personen, wir haben es nicht eilig, wir machen die Touren ganz entspannt.

Der Königspalast von Venaria, die Sommerresidenz der Savoyer nach dem Vorbild von Versailles, und weitläufige Gärten im italienischen Stil umgeben dieses Jagdschloss aus dem 16. Jahrhundert, das für Carlo Emanuele II. von Savoyen erbaut wurde. Die Keller beherbergen heute eine historische Ausstellung, die die Geschichte des Savoy erzählt. Die oberen Stockwerke sind wechselnden Ausstellungen vorbehalten. Der Königspalast ist montags geschlossen.
Sacra di San Michele Eine befestigte Abtei, die auf einem felsigen Hügel, der Sacra di San Michele, verankert ist.Um die Kirche zu erreichen, müssen Sie 150 Stufen, vorbei an Skulpturen aus dem 12. Jahrhundert, von der Porta dello Zodiaco, einem herrlichen romanischen Tor mit Sternzeichen verziert, hinaufsteigen. Auf der linken Seite des Innenraums befinden sich Fresken aus dem 16. Jahrhundert, die Themen des Neuen Testaments darstellen; auf der rechten Seite befinden sich Darstellungen der Gründung der Kirche. Beachten Sie, dass einige Abschnitte der Abtei nur an Wochenenden geöffnet sind und, wenn besonders überfüllt, der Besuch auf einstündige Touren beschränkt sein kann. Bei schönem Wetter ist die Aussicht von den Wänden und Terrassen rund um die Kirche atemberaubend. Wenn das Wetter verschneit ist, können Sie die Sacra di San Michele nicht erreichen , der Reiseleiter schlägt Ihnen eine alternative Route vor

Both parts of this trip were fabulous. Lina, our guide for the Savoy Palace and Gardens was impressive. Her love for Turin and passion for its history and its future were inspiring. We thoroughly enjoyed our tour and would have only experienced a small portion of the importance of this place and the people who created it if we had not had Lina to guide us. Giuseppe, our guide for Sacra di San Michele was very knowledgeable. His friendly personality made our car ride to Mount Pirchiriano memorable. The ancient abbey is built on an apparition site of St. Michael the Archangel and is one of the seven pilgrimage stops along the Sword of St Michael, which stretches from Skellig Michael in Ireland to Stella Maris Monastery in Israel. There are 243 steps to the top, but it is worth it as the panoramic view of the Piedmont area from the abbey is spectacular. A wonderful place for reflection and prayer.

Best Italian tour to date. Giuseppe was a superb guide of the Sacra Di San Michele - friendly, warm & humble. When the Sacra comes into view properly halfway up the mountain it is both breathtaking & spectacular & the monastery itself is equally sublime. It is hard to grasp & get your mind around. Entering the Monastery we were greated by hymns & prayers being conducted by the 10 priests in an adjacent room. Could not recommend visiting it enough. The other half of the tour at the Venaria Reale is extravagant & exquisite. Christina's tour for this palace is exceptional. Her depth & deep insights of the family & their history are to something behold & rare. Weaving a whimsical story of the palace & it's dense history that draws you in, as you dig deeper into the life of the Savoy's & I just didn't want it to end.. Great tour done in 2 halves by exceptional guides
