Die Radtour auf der „Straße des Todes“ ist einfach die beste Wahl für einen ganzen Tag voller Abenteuer und Adrenalin an einem der beeindruckendsten Orte Boliviens, dem „El camino de la muerte“.

Um 07:00 Uhr Abholung vom Hotel und Abfahrt zum Gipfel des La Paz, der sich auf einer Höhe von 3.600 Metern (11.810 Fuß) am Fuße der Cordillera Real de los Andes befindet. Unterwegs können Sie die Flora und Fauna der Wüste des Hochplateaus sowie die schneebedeckten Gipfel der Cordillera Real bewundern. 09:00 Uhr: Test der Ausrüstung und Einweisung durch die Guides in die Handhabung der Ausrüstung, warme Erfrischungen. Wir beginnen das Abenteuer mit dem Fahrrad; der erste Abschnitt verläuft auf Asphalt bei kühlem Wetter, bis wir die Ortschaft Unduavi erreichen (Drogenkontrolle und Überprüfung nur bei motorisierten Fahrzeugen), wo wir eine Pause einlegen und uns stärken. 10:30 Uhr: Die unbefestigte Straße beginnt auf einer Höhe von 2.700 m ü. M. in einer subtropischen Landschaft. Wir fahren über die gefährlichste Straße der Welt, die als „Straße des Todes“ bekannt ist, in den bolivianischen Dschungel hinein. Eine atemberaubende Aussicht auf der unbefestigten Straße; während der Abfahrt führt der Weg durch Bäche und vorbei an Wasserfällen, umgeben von der vielfältigen Flora und Fauna, die dieser Ort zu bieten hat. Gegen Mittag haben die Fahrgäste etwas Zeit, sich auszuruhen und zu erfrischen. 13:45 Uhr Ankunft an der Brücke – ein Ort mit mildem Klima und das Ende des Fahrradabenteuers auf einer Höhe von 1.200 Metern (3.940 Fuß). Anschließend Transfer zum Hotel DOS RIOS, 35 Minuten von Coroico entfernt, um dort zu duschen, zu Mittag zu essen und die freie Zeit am Pool zu genießen usw. 16:30 Uhr Rückfahrt nach La Paz über die neue Autobahn Santa Barbara–Cotapata. I had an amazing trip on the Yungas trail with Eloy and Luis. I couldn’t believe the diversity of scenery we enjoyed from the Andes to the selva! Truly, truly fantastic. Must do while in La Paz, especially with Eloy!

My wife and I had an amazing day riding Bolivia's famous Death Road with Altitude Travel! From the very beginning, everything was organized and professional. We were picked up early from our hotel and driven up to nearly 15,000 feet, where we enjoyed breakfast and got geared up for the ride. The bikes and equipment were first-rate and well maintained. We started on the paved section, reaching speeds of up to 36 mph before transitioning onto the gravel sections of the Death Road. Our guide, Eloy, was outstanding. He shared fascinating information about the road, the surrounding area, and its history throughout the day. The pace was perfect for both my wife and me, with plenty of stops for breaks, photos, and to take in the scenery. One of the best parts was that Eloy took tons of photos and videos, allowing us to focus on enjoying the ride and the breathtaking views instead of worrying about capturing the moment. Luis, our driver, did a fantastic job keeping everything running smoothly and safely throughout the trip. The beautiful resort at the end of the ride was the perfect place to relax, and the lunch was delicious. Riding Death Road had been on my bucket list for years, and Altitude Travel made the experience absolutely perfect. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for an unforgettable adventure in Bolivia!
