Die Tour führt alle bekanntesten Sehenswürdigkeiten Aserbaidschans zusammen. Dies ist eine Art Stadtrundgang und eine Zeitreise von den primitiven Höhlen der Steinzeit bis zur Perfektion moderner Architektur - dem Heydar Aliyev Center, das 2014 als schönstes Gebäude der Welt ausgezeichnet wurde.

Staatliche historische und künstlerische Reserve. Einer der drei von der UNESCO geschützten Orte in Aserbaidschan (2007). Es gibt zwei Museen innerhalb des Reservats. Das erste ist ein Freilichtmuseum. Hier werden wir durch die Höhlen gehen, die Felsmalereien sehen, die alte Küche sehen, in das Leben der Naturvölker eintauchen. Und das zweite Museum – ein modernes, interaktives – wurde 2011 gebaut. Gobustan ist eine Verschmelzung von Antike und neuen Technologien.
Weltweit gibt es etwa 800 Schlammvulkane. 354 von ihnen befinden sich auf dem Territorium Aserbaidschans, was etwa 40% entspricht. Gäste, die die Vulkane besucht haben, sagen, sie seien auf dem Mars gewesen, weil ihre Oberfläche Weltraumfilmen ähnelt. Du kannst eine neue Episode von Star Wars drehen :) Der Schlamm ist sehr nützlich für Haut, Gelenke und Knochen.
Die Moschee Bibi-Heybat ist definitiv einer der schönsten Tempel, die Sie je gesehen haben! Hier befindet sich das Grab der Verwandten des Propheten Muhammad (s.v.s).
Bevor wir weiterfahren, halten wir in einem lokalen Restaurant. Die aserbaidschanische Küche hat noch nie jemanden unzufrieden gelassen! Eine große Auswahl an Gerichten für jeden Geschmack!
Und nun wollen wir sehen, was in Absheron vor dem Islam verehrt wurde. Unsere Vorfahren betrachteten Feuer vor vielen Jahrhunderten als heilig. Die Religion der Feueranbetung wurde so heilig verehrt, dass der religiöse Feiertag Novruz zu einem nationalen wurde und, nachdem er die Jahrhunderte überdauert hat, immer noch gefeiert wird. Der Tempel des Feuers Ateshgah ist der Ort des Zusammenflusses von drei Religionen, der Feueranbetung, des Zoroastrismus und des Hinduismus. Auf unserer Tour werden Sie verstehen, was diese drei Lehren gemeinsam haben.
Als nächstes gehen wir zu den Ursprüngen dieser Religion. Ewige Lichter, die in den Annalen von Atilla erwähnt wurden - dem großen Hunnenkaiser, Marco Polo und vielen anderen. Wissenschaftler datieren das Alter des "heiligen Herdes" auf 4-5.000 Jahre.
In Baku befindet sich die erste industriell gebohrte Ölquelle der Welt, die 1846 im Gebiet Bibi-Heybat fertiggestellt wurde und den Beginn der modernen Erdölindustrie markiert.

Overall, the tour was good. I didn't like the restaurant, where we stopped for the lunch because it was too fancy, pricey and touristy. Also, we came back 2 hours later than we were told. The spot for seeing mud volcanoes was also very touristy and one can't see them there properly. The guide was unprofessionally dressed, but very nice and provided lots of information.
Sayid! Huge thanks for the interesting and educational tour of the old town of Baku. Baku is a very beautiful city on the shores of the Caspian Sea. I will definitely come to Baku again.

Had a wonderful day trip with Smile Azerbaijan tours on Gobustan - the tours starts at 9am and ends around 6pm. We have seen so many beautiful natural wonders - the famous mud vulcanoes (3 types of mud vulcanoes) , one of them is even used for body treatment. In addition, we saw the fantastic Yanardag - burning mountains, a everlasting natural phenomenon due to gas, and the fire temple. The tour worths the trip and timing is good. Regarding the entrance fees, check out what the 25 AZN combo ticket contains (instead of 40 AZN) depending on what you would like to see.
We had the most incredible full-day tour in and around Baku, and it was all thanks to our outstanding tour guide, Sayeed. From start to finish, he went above and beyond to make sure every single person in the group felt comfortable, informed, and well taken care of. We visited around 7–8 key locations, including the Fire Temple (Ateshgah), Yanar Dag (Burning Mountain), Mud Volcanoes, Gobustan National Park, several museums, and even the first oil well in the world. Sayeed impressed us all with his depth of knowledge — not just about the main attractions, but also about the smaller landmarks and buildings we passed along the way. He shared fascinating facts and stories, effortlessly blending history, culture, and local insight in a way that made everything so much more meaningful. What really stood out was how incredibly accommodating and thoughtful he was. He made sure everyone had access to water, helped people charge their phones by arranging chargers, and even shared his own personal hotspot with two other tour members who didn’t have data — something he offered without being asked. Sayeed’s time management was flawless. We never felt rushed, and yet we covered a lot without any delays. He found the perfect pace — not too fast, not too slow — and made sure every stop was well-utilized and enjoyable. Perhaps the most touching part of the day was when a woman who had back issues joined late and couldn’t sit at the back of the vehicle. Without hesitation, Sayeed gave up his own front seat for her and stood the entire day — from 9 AM to around 6 or 7 PM — just so she could be comfortable. That level of empathy and dedication is rare and truly speaks volumes about the kind of person he is. Sayeed, thank you so much — you were not just a guide, but a true host. You made our trip smooth, rich with insight, and genuinely memorable. Your professionalism, kindness, and deep knowledge made this tour one of the best we’ve ever been on. I usually don’t like to visit places with organized tours, but in this case I preferred to opt for a tour for time requirements. I am glad I made this choice because it was an extremely pleasant experience, thanks to the impeccable organization and a kind and very prepared guide. I recommend it to everyone, it is a great way to see the attractions around Baku in one day without wasting time and with a fairly contained vosto.

Guys are the best I advise everyone, take the tours from the smile, with Hazard Mud Volcanoes very interesting how rich the land is here. And the burning mountain also surprised me.
