Das Qadisha-Tal – was auf Aramäisch „Heiliges Tal“ bedeutet – beherbergt seit den frühesten Jahrhunderten des Christentums christliche Klostergemeinschaften. Ihr Fortgeschrittener teilt die spirituelle und historische Bedeutung des Tals, während Sie die dramatische Klippenlandschaft darunter betrachten.
️ 10:30 Uhr – Besuchen Sie das Khalil Gibran Museum (Bcharre) Besuchen Sie die Heimatstadt von Khalil Gibran, Libanons berühmtestem Dichter und Autor von "The Prophet" - einem der meistverkauften Bücher des 20. Jahrhunderts. Das Museum, das in einem ehemaligen Kloster untergebracht ist, zeigt seine Gemälde, Manuskripte und persönlichen Gegenstände und bietet ein intimes Porträt seines Lebens und seines Genies.
️ 12:30 Uhr – Erkunden Sie die Zedern des Gotteswaldes Spazieren Sie zwischen den legendären Zedern Gottes (Arz el Rab), einem UNESCO-geschützten Hain alter Zedernbäume, die teilweise über 1.000 Jahre alt sind. Das sind genau die Bäume, die phönizische Schiffe, Salomos Tempel und ägyptische Tempel gebaut haben. Eines der bekanntesten Naturdenkmäler im Libanon und im gesamten Nahen Osten.
Mittagessen — Bergdorfrestaurant Genießen Sie eine entspannte Mittagspause in der Gegend von Bcharre und probieren Sie traditionelle libanesische Bergküche – herzhafte Mezze, gegrilltes Fleisch und lokales Brot – mit Bergblick.
️ 15 : 00 Uhr – Besuch des Kozhaya-Klosters (Qadisha-Tal) Abstieg ins Qadisha-Tal, um eines der ältesten und verehrtesten Klöster Libanons zu besuchen, das direkt in die Felswand gehauen ist. Das Kloster des Heiligen Antonius von Kozhaya stammt aus dem 12. Jahrhundert und beherbergt ein Höhlenheiligtum, eine alte Druckerpresse – die erste im Nahen Osten – und eine Atmosphäre des tiefen spirituellen Friedens.
Rückkehr nach Beirut — ca. 17:00–18:00 Uhr Fahren Sie zurück in den Süden und setzen Sie sich in Ihrem Hotel in Beirut ab.

Excellent excursion to the cedars: beautiful weather, and abundant snow made the experience unique! Nehme, our driver, was all day, taking care of us. He made us discover superb viewpoints, a beautiful Maronite monastery, and of course, the valley of cedars under the snow! Many thanks to him and our operator! An excursion warmly recommended!
I had a great experience in Qadisha valley. My tour guide, Michael, was very attentive to details. Eve though there was heavy snow in Mountain Lebanon, we ended up finding nice views to see the cedar forest and the place around the village. I would definitely recommend the company and Michael

We spent the day with our guide Rita and she explained many things to us about the valley and the Cedros forest. We had a great time in a fairly small group. The food very good. Our guide has always been very attentive and answered all our questions. Very good.
Splendid trip, worth every minute. Though a longish day, it was fun all the way. The sights were amazing & exceeded expectations. Food was sumptuous, company was great. Big Mike was chilled out fun. We went to the Qozhaya Monastery, followed by stopping at Qadisha valley itself, followed by going to the Cedars of God, followed by lunch & finally going to the Ancient Phoenician wall at Batroun (we were given the option). Overall a great experience. I fell in love with the Qadisha valley, I didn’t want to leave that place, I wish I could live there! The host was nice, although I’m a bit confused as to some of the historical details he claimed about the Qozhaya Monastery. The monastery goes back to the 12th century, yet it was claimed that these monks were persecuted by the Romans. There was no Latin Roman Empire which ended in the 4/5th century as we know it, in the 12th century there was what we call today the Holy Roman Empire (which was Germanic, Catholic & not really an Empire), and what we call today the Byzantine Empire (which was Greek, Orthodox Christian & had lost a lot of its power by the 12th century).
Absolutely visit Qadisha Valley and Bcharre & Ceders of God is one of highlight of our Lebanon trip ! Beautiful scenery with easy access from capital Beirut many friend of mine was surprise there is snow in middle east country when they saw my picture . Also need to thanks of our driver guide Mr Hassane M rad, we laughed most of time during the day tour as Hassane is a funny guy !
