I had an amazing experience with this Egypt layover tour! Everything was perfectly organized from start to finish, making it easy to visit the Pyramids and the Grand Egyptian Museum even during a layover. A special thank you to the guide, Hazem, who was incredibly knowledgeable, passionate, and friendly (and can read hieroglyphs!). His explanations were engaging, detailed, and easy to understand. The entire service was excellent—punctual, professional, and stress-free. I enjoyed every moment of the tour and felt that I made the most of my time in Cairo. I would highly recommend this company to anyone with a layover or even a short stay in Egypt. It was truly one of the highlights of my trip!

Zizhou was our tour guide for 4 days, visiting the Grand Egyptian Museum; Saqqara, Memphis and Dahshur; the Giza Pyramids; and significant Islamic mosques and Coptic churches (as well as the Khan el-Khalili Bazaar). Zizhou was professional, knowledgeable, well organised, and always on time. He was flexible with the itinerary as needed, enabled us to enjoy local produce and cultural experiences, and was happy to provide insights to life in contemporary Egypt. He also sought to especially engage with the youngest (10 & 12 yrs) members of our family group, which was very appreciated.

Mohamed Gomaa provided an excellent experience for my wife and I on a private tour of the Giza Pyramids/Sphinx and GEM. We got an early start to be among the first visitors at the pyramid complex, and Mohamed took advantage of the peace and quiet to educate, inform, and humor us. As the tour transitioned to the nearby GEM, Mohamed shared his passion and knowledge for a few hours, leaving us better informed about Egypts’s history and eager to return again. I have already recommended Deluxe Travel Egypt and Mohamed Gomaa to a couple interested colleagues, and I would be happy to use their services again.

I booked a time-sensitive layover tour to Giza and the GEM. My Egyptologist guide was fantastic—knowledgeable, patient, and highly professional. The driver handled Cairo traffic perfectly, getting me back to Terminal 3 by 4:30 p.m. as requested. While the specific lunch I requested (at a pyramid-view restaurant) was unfortunately missed, we did make an unscheduled stop at Ali’s Perfume near the Sphinx. It ended up being a highlight; I enjoyed a great jasmine tea and a fascinating lesson on local scents. Bottom line: Highly recommend for the expertise and reliability, just verify any specific dining reservations with the office ahead of time.

We booked the Pyramids & Grand Egyptian Museum Layover tour for a daytrip to Cairo from Hurghada, and it exceeded all our expectations. Hazem was our guide, and honestly, we couldn’t have wished for anyone better. Our flight was delayed by two hours, so we were a bit concerned about feeling rushed or missing out, but thanks to this private tour and Hazem’s incredible expertise and flexibility, we were able to make the absolute most of our time. We started at the Pyramids, where we could fully take in the breathtaking views from the panorama point and also explore up close. We even went inside one of the smaller pyramids (no extra fee and no queue!) and visited the Sphinx. Hazem also turned out to be an excellent photographer, capturing so many beautiful moments for us. Something we really appreciated. After that, we stopped at an artisanal perfume shop. We had expected to learn something about the oils used in mummification, but that wasn’t really the focus. While interesting for some, it wasn’t entirely what we had in mind. Next, we visited the relatively new Grand Egyptian Museum. Despite our limited time, Hazem guided us smoothly through the highlights and still made sure we had enough time to queue for and capture the perfect photo of Tutankhamun’s death mask. He also carefully managed the timing so we got back to the airport just in time for our return flight, which gave us great peace of mind. All in all, we absolutely recommend this tour to anyone looking for a short but rich introduction to Cairo. And if you can, definitely ask for Hazem—he truly made this experience unforgettable. Excellent "layover" tour of the Pyramids and GEM. We had actually only signed up to do a pyramid tour but on the day the operator was super flexible to change the itinerary and add the GEM, which was the right call. The car was incredibly comfortable and clean, and the driver was professional. They picked us up at the luggage belt in the airport, and dropped us off at the terminal check-in at the end of it, while holding onto our luggages. Such a smooth experience. But let me tell you about the guide...Hazem was the best guide we've ever had. We typically have low tolerance for logorrheic and boring guides, but Hazem was nothing like it. He tailored his tour and explanation based on what we enjoy doing when sightseeing, without overloading us with details we'd forget in 15 minutes. He knew all the best spots to take pictures and took them for us (very talented at it!!). He knew we didn't have a lot of time (<3 hours for pyramids and GEM!!) and was able to do a fast-track tour of both, ensuring we'd see the highlights and make the most of our tour. He was funny and also very caring, you'd see him frequently helping / offering help to other tourists in distress. Honestly, you can tell how passionate Hazem is about his job and about making sure that tourists have a great experience in his city and country. Thank you Hazem!!

Great day seeing the pyramids and the museum. We started the day at 8am and I would definitely recommend 7/8am start to avoid crowds. Great guide! Everything went smooth.
