Pulque Tasting und mexikanisches Ringen: Premium Kleingruppentour

[NOTE: We had them put together a custom Lucha Libre experience for my group of 14 (3 families) so my review may not relate to this packaged experience specifically.] I HIGHLY recommend going to a Lucha Libre show! It was such a great time -- it was funny, exciting, gave us so much to chat about, and entertained our large and exhausted group of kids & teens, as well as the adults. My primary issue was with the planning, logistics, and communications with the Friends Guides crew. I've discussed the challenges we had with the Friends Guides folks directly (ad nauseum) so I don't need to go into the details here, but I had to knock some stars off because their poor planning and even poorer communication with us about logistics made the night unnecessarily stressful and confusing and expensive. We did another tour with this company the next day and they got most (not 100% but most) of the issues fixed for that one (I'm writing a separate review for that).... but this tour just felt like a waste other than the show itself. They apologized, but we'd paid a LOT of money so it was hard to swallow. I would consider using them again if I felt completely certain well ahead of time that I knew exactly what the plan was, and that the plan made sense. But if you can find a way to get to a Lucha Libre show, DO IT!

Carlos and his daughter Carla were great. We signed up for a pulque tasting but did a Michelin star taco tasting instead and it was incredible! Carla did the ordering and we just enjoyed. If you are going buy souvenirs outside the stadium, they don’t sell much inside. They do have snacks and drinks. But outside has a ton of stands with masks, and more.

What a fun experience! Carlos was wonderful and very knowledgeable! The food was great and our tickets were perfect.

The tickets we were given were not ringside and were quite far away. It was our first time, but I still found it to be an enjoyable experience.

Patricia and Oscar gave us a fun night, we took pulque, we threw a few steps and then we shouted swear words in wrestling. It was a pleasure to meet both and we would do the tour with them again.

I met this agency by another provider and booked directly, the system works excellent and is super friendly (website and Wp communication system) and there is constant communication. Pick you up and drop you off at your hotel, impeccable transportation and the wonderful experience. The experience of the pulqueria is spectacular, you can try the pulque and enjoy a traditional Mexican festival. The seating location for the fight show is great and Pato makes the experience much better. I loved doing the tours with Patricia and we were accompanied by Oscar on the transport. Very kind of you both. Super recommended.

What a great experience! Our guide Patto is the best. Very knowledgeable and fun. You know you're in good hands when you are with her. Learned a lot about Pulque and Mexican wrestling. Highly recommend.

We start the activity eating tacos at Maria Trinidad, a restaurant located near the Arena. Samantha our guide has a lot of energy, which is perfect for the wrestling tour. We had a great time, Samantha was always very attentive and answered all our doubts. Highly recommended!!

Miguel and Oscar were very welcoming and ensured things went smoothly . Miguel explained the intricacies of Mexican wrestling and taught us some Mexican insults to yell at the bad guys. There was a lot of crowd participation & it was enormous fun. The pulque tasting was great fun and authentic experience - we tasted many different flavours - my favourite was guava. Miguel also took us to the best wrestling souvenir places. It was a highlight of our time in Mexico City.

Miguel and Oscar were wonderful guides and negotiated the crazy MXC traffic brilliantly. We would never have got to the stadium or home at a decent hour without their help. Miguel had impressive depth on all things historical and explained things in an interesting & approachable way. The wrestling was enormous fun and Miguel gave us some Mexican phrases to yell at the bad guys. The final battle was incredibly athletic & the passionate crowd went berserk. The pulque bar was off the Richter scale fun with a lots of local characters & a barman who kept appearing in different masks. Drinks were unique to Mexico and our group all had different favourites. A highlight of our time in Mexico.
