Great experience! Was a fun ride and our tour guide was very informative
Went with my family to Puffing Billy in June.We took the train to Belgrave.It is quite accessible via public transport.Bought the tickets way before on their website. Honestly its good to experience it. Quite interesting. The views are great but midway you just get bored. I bought the tickets that came with scones and a drink. Scones were very hard .Food was expensive . Nothing fantastic. I bought the fries and it was tooo salty. Bring your own food if you can. Same goes for Healesville but the food there is much worse, it is stale .
Well organized and as described. The tour guide, Russell, was great! If cool/ rainy, dress accordingly for the train ride and the sanctuary

Puffing train was even better than I thought it would be.
Our guide David was fantastic. Good time management, informative of Melbourne information for tourists and helpful with guiding us in the sanctuary. Puffing Billy was sure best highlight for my 8 year old son.
The train was cold, but we are visiting in the winter … so that’s on us. The ride was fun, and probably less crowded due to the time of year. My kids loved riding on the side of the train with their feet dangling. The Healesville Sanctuary was great! Full of Australian animals and an amazing bird show! The chocolate stop at the end was a nice treat to end the day. The staff/drivers were so nice! We were very pleased with our booking and had a great day!
Friendly conductors, loved the whole day. Train ride was great fun, zoo would have been better in decent weather but we still managed to get a lot out of the visit. 30 mins in the chocolaterie isn’t long enough :-)
Our tour was absolutely incredible! It was such a wonderful experience to see the Australian wildlife up close at Healesville Sanctuary; seeing the koalas and kangaroos was a real highlight. The historic Puffing Billy steam train ride offered truly amazing, scenic views. Highly recommended!
Our guide Michael was great and we had a wonderful day. Enjoying the stops at Yarra chocolates, walking around the area. Visiting santuary and watching bird show, it was fabuluous. Puffy Billy ride is great experience, moving slow and steady, enjoying the scenic greenery.
