Attention. If you go by car it is mandatory to carry chains for tires. Police station checks before the climb. The center of sky super quiet. Telepheric to climb the volcano in two stages. Fair price.
We were super excited for this tour, and booked it months in advance. It was the birthday of my travel companion and she had decided the activity. We were never picked up. We waited at the location for our pick-up for more than an hour. The number of the operator was unreachable. We tried several phones and several times. We were never contacted at any point (other than confirmation of booking + pick-up time and location). Ruined our day. Don’t book - it’s a scam.
The guide was knowledgeable & good at spotting foxes! The views from the volcano were great, the drive was enjoyable, the whole trip was worth it
We did this trip as a shore excursion. We left from the pier and had a lovely scenic drive around the lake district. We went to the Orsorno Volcano Ski area, where you can get great views. We stopped here long enough for people to climb up higher for the views or go on the ski lift or just get a coffee at the cafe and enjoy the scenery. A little longer here would have been better, as we did not have time to do both the hike up and the ski lift, we had to choose one or the other, and the hike up the trail was rushed due to time limitations. But the overall tour was very good and we're glad we did it.
Excellent day in the snow, there was good weather and we enjoyed it to the fullest as a family. Recommended with guide
One of the most beautiful places in the world, she traveled alone and the guide was very friendly, magazine photos. It's 100% worth going.
If you don’t own a vehicle this tour helps you get there, in a comfortable van with a very informed guide who talks about the history of the Osorno volcano. We reached the chairlifts and took a walk back and forth, the spectacular day, it was not cold.
Nos alegra que le gustastara nuestra excursión
We left at the end of a wonderful morning, with blue sky and temperature of 11 degrees. The route is already a postcard and it makes sense why the city is known as the city of roses, or why not, of flowers. We stopped at a mirante, where we saw the clouds exposing the volcano to the bottom and on the other side the lake, reflecting the soft sun. We reached the ticket shop and then went to the cafeteria, where the service was fast and efficient. The hot chocolate was below expectations. I don't know if the milk wasn't whole or if instead of chocolate it was chocolate. The empanada with shrimp and cheese came with fine pasta, well filled. We climbed the cable car to the last and second level. The speed is quite calm and seems to maintain the same height along the way. The view in front of the volcano, imposing and the top hidden by the clouds completely or partially, increases curiosity as you approach. We walked up to the maximum level, taking pictures whenever the breath allowed, in an indescribable view. The cold increases as we climb, until the snow limits the end point of the climb. It is exciting to see the exuberant beauty of the volcano, the lake, the mountains at the same time, expressing the works of God’s exclusive creation. We descended from the cable car in a paradisiac view.
We had such a great time journeying from lovely Puerto Varas to the impressive Volcan Osorno. The drive there was beautiful and our amazing guide (an older gentleman, don’t remember his name) was multilingual, funny and very knowledgeable. We loved the landscape of this part of Chile and the area of Osorno has its own beauty as well. We stopped at several lookout points along the drive up to the volcano for pictures and enjoyed epic views from the top once we got there. It was great to see some wildlife including a family of foxes. There’s also a shop/rest stop where you can enjoy a snack (we had chocolate beer!) and buy some gifts to take home. Overall this tour was wonderful and I highly recommend it to anyone of all ages and fitness levels. We’re definitely glad we chose to go on the tour!
We made the tour with the Touristur agency, with the guide Benjamin and the driver Vitor, very friendly, cheerful. Me and my husband thought it was worth it,even with rain and no conditions to climb the top. The road is beautiful and marges Lake Lanquiuhue. The rain is intermittent and it is possible to take advantage of the stops along the way. We stopped at the café located halfway up to Osorno and still it was very nice. Go with waterproof, warm clothes.
