Entdecken Sie die Stadt Plovdiv - eine der ältesten existierenden Siedlungen der Welt! Sehen Sie das römische Theater und Teile des römischen Stadions. Gehen Sie durch die längste Fußgängerzone Europas. Erkunden Sie die prächtige Altstadt von Revival mit ihren einzigartigen farbenfrohen Häusern aus dem 19. Jahrhundert. Sehen Sie die kürzlich freigelegten frühchristlichen Mosaike aus dem 4. Jahrhundert! Plovdiv selbst wird 2019 eine europäische Kulturhauptstadt sein. Am Nachmittag besuchen Sie das Bachkovo-Kloster - das zweitgrößte Kloster Bulgariens, das im 11. Jahrhundert gegründet wurde. Es ist berühmt für die Ikone der Jungfrau Maria, die als wunderbar gelehrt wird und jedes Jahr von Tausenden von Menschen besucht wird. Meistens werden die Fahrten mit umweltfreundlichen Autos durchgeführt - mit Cng-Motor oder Elektromobilen, damit wir bei der Bekämpfung der Luftverschmutzung helfen können.

The tour was well organized. Our guide Alex was friendly and well-prepared with lots of historical facts. Communication from the company could have been better. Emails took days to get a response and after the initial payment weeks in advance there was nothing received from the company until the evening before pick up.
Very nice, Nicholas was very accommodating and gave us good information and history of the Plovdiv area.
A great day trip out of Sofia. Well organised and good value and very convenient with the hotel pick up/drop off 😀 Our guide was Lubomir who was extremely knowledgeable about the history of Bulgaria and the Sofia/Plovdiv area.

An excellent day trip from Sofia. We enjoyed visiting the charming old city of Plovdiv … the views are amazing and the old buildings beautifully restored. The monastery was definitely worth the additional drive out of Plovdiv … it was a treat driving through the beautiful countryside up to the monastery but the situation and inside the church of the Monastery was like nothing we had seen before … it was awe inspiring. Our driver/guide, Lubomir, was brilliant … he ably gave us an outline of the history of the Balkan Peninsula and the history of the Sofia area … we enjoyed his company and came away from the day much better informed than we had been at the beginning of the trip. The vehicle we travelled in was immaculately clean and comfortable and Lubomir was a safe and considerate driver. Thank you 😊
