Our tour guide Lee was very knowledgeable and personable. He answered any questions that we had and took us to not only historical locations but also cool spots that locals visit and places where we could shop (we found a lot of uniquejewelry pieces). He also gave a few restaurant recommendations as well. One of our favorite tours on the trip.
It was a great tour, we had so much fun. Betty is so energetic and passionate about Berlin. Was a shame that we only had so little time. Next time we will be back for longer, promise!
Eros provided an excellent introduction to Berlin, as this was our first time here. He showed us several sights and explained the significance of each. We even came across the Festival of Lights that was going on which was a nice treat! You won’t go wrong with Eros.
Juan was great gave lots of advice and suggestions and showed us around the center , useful introduction to Berlin , would recommend
Betty was a great guide and this was a really good way to get an intro of Berlin and a little of the history of the city and WW2. It’s a perfect starter tour especially with a family (we had a 13 year old with us and he said it was fun and exciting). Betty was really engaging and excellent at giving us the high level overview and pointing out where else we could go/ things to next. Really enjoyed it and highly recommend.
If you're looking for a unique lens to view Berlin through, book Betty. Her tour gave us a well paced overview of key events and places, and she helped us really think about the impact on the people and the city today. All told with authentic passion, great knowledge (she answered all of our questions), and high energy!
Loved our tour and our guide, Anastasia. She was knowledgeable, kind, and read the needs of our group very well. I could’ve walked the streets of Berlin with her for days!! Thank you for the perfect introduction to Berlin!!
Our tour guide, Martin, was wonderful and very knowledgeable. He has lived in the city for a long time and has a rich understanding of the history, pre and post communisim. My only complaint is the fact that Withlocals charges in Euros, which fluctuates of course in the daily exchange rate. Our first tour that we booked with a different guide was cancelled by the guide because he was sick, and my refund wasn't processed for a few days. Because the exchange rate went down, it cost me more money due to the guide cancelling our original tour. Othwerwise, it would have been a 5 star review.
My husband and I have lived in Berlin three years, and we treated his parents to a tour on their first visit to the city. I would highly recommend Eros for both first-timers, as well as residents, who want a deepened understanding and appreciation of Berlin history! Eros was incredibly knowledgeable and engaging; he hit all of the major sites in Mitte on a compact tour, which was absolutely *packed* with information. He was always able to answer questions, and he also did a great job looking out for family members who couldn't walk as much, finding spots to sit and rest along the way. I was amazed at how much we saw and learned in such a short amount of time; it was honestly a much better experience than the 3.5 hour walking tour I had previously taken, which felt a bit long, slow, and bloated by the end. This compact tour is exactly right for a focused, welcoming introduction to the city. Thank you, Eros!
Seth was a good tour guide for me and my family. He explains and provides great insights and information on what he is showing us around Berlin. Perfect way to start our vacation in Berlin
