Einst war es der größte Markt für Antiquitäten und Kunstwerke in Korea.

Jogyesa ist der Haupttempel des Jogye-Ordens des koreanischen Buddhismus, was 1936 der Fall war. [1] Es spielt daher eine führende Rolle im gegenwärtigen Stand des Seon-Buddhismus in Südkorea. Der Tempel wurde erstmals im Jahr 1395 zu Beginn der Joseon-Dynastie errichtet
Cheonggyecheon ist ein 8,4 km langer Bach, der von Westen nach Osten durch die Innenstadt von Seoul fließt und dann auf Jungnangcheon trifft, der sich mit dem Han verbindet und ins Gelbe Meer mündet. Während der Präsidentschaft von Park Chung-hee wurde Cheonggyecheon mit Beton für Straßen bedeckt. 1968 wurde darüber eine Hochstraße gebaut.
Das Dorf Bukchon Hanok beherbergt Hunderte von traditionellen Häusern, Hanok genannt, die auf die Joseon-Dynastie zurückgehen. Der Name Bukchon, was wörtlich „nördliches Dorf“ bedeutet, entstand, weil das Viertel nördlich von zwei bedeutenden Wahrzeichen Seouls liegt, dem Bach Cheonggyecheon und Jongno. Heute fungieren viele dieser Hanoks als Kulturzentren, Gästehäuser, Restaurants und Teehäuser und bieten Besuchern die Möglichkeit, die traditionelle koreanische Kultur zu erleben, zu lernen und in sie einzutauchen. Bukchon Hanok Village ist ein echtes Viertel mit Häusern der Menschen.
Myeong-dong ist eines der wichtigsten Einkaufsviertel in Seoul. Die beiden Hauptstraßen treffen in der Mitte des Blocks zusammen, wobei die eine am U-Bahnhof Myeong-dong (Seoul-U-Bahn-Linie Nr. 4) und die andere am Kaufhaus Lotte in Euljiro beginnt. Zahlreiche Markengeschäfte und Kaufhäuser säumen die Straßen und Gassen.

Denny provided us with a full day informative tour of Seoul. He was very communicative prior to arriving on our trip and flexible with the itinerary. Being the last tour of our 3 week trip, some of our group were very tired and he adjusted the trip accordingly. Highly recommend this tour and Denny !
Denny was great! He was very responsive to my requests before and during the trip. Denny is extremely knowledgeable and provided great commentary throughout our tours. He is also very prompt and flexible. We hired Denny for a tour in Seoul and a special tour outside of Seoul to Daejanggeum (MBC) park. We did have to ask Denny to slow down during our tour of Seoul, however I realized that we requested a lot of places to visit so he was only trying to meet our demands. If you are a kdrama fan, I highly recommend the tour to Daejanggeum Park. It felt as if we were in a period kdrama. I recognized so many sets from Empress Ki and the Red Sleeve. We even saw them filming a new drama with a prominent Korean actor who Denny identified for us. Even though Denny is not a crazed kdrama fan like myself, he had excellent knowledge of the park and the history of each period represented at the park. I highly recommend Denny for all your tour needs in and around Seoul.

My husband, 10 yr old daughter, and I took a private tour around Seoul with Denny. We had previously been to Seoul and seen a couple of the sites so Denny was really great about customizing the tour for us. When we were in Seoul 8 months prior we had rented a car and driven ourselves around, this was 1,000 times better. Denny not only took us to great sites but he was also very informative. We learned so much, even about things we had previously seen. It was also a great way to gauge what sites we would like to return to and spend more time immersing ourselves (and not because he does not spend enough time, but because we wanted to see it all). Truly a great experience!
Traditional neighborhood stroll. History tour at Namsam Park, and the local markets are wild! Definitely, well with the money and Denny takes good care of you!
Denny was helpful even before we arrived with suggesting hotels. On the day of the tour he rearranged the day as required to keep us warm and to see the views without snow. Saw lots of sites and Denny also suggested things we could do the next morning prior to our onward flight. Very professional and knowledgeable, good English language and a good driver.
