Dies ist eine einmalige Gelegenheit, das Haus eines Einheimischen zu besuchen und die traditionelle Kultur und Küche kennenzulernen. Gabriela stammt aus einer italienischen Familie. Sie lernte das Kochen von ihrem Großvater Ricardo, einem Tangoquintettleiter und Bandoneonspieler. Anschließend vertiefte sie ihr Wissen unter dem italienischen Chefkoch Mario Maiollino, als sie ihr eigenes Restaurant Ozono in Buenos Aires betrieb. Derzeit ist sie Art Director und Modefotografin und hat viele Jahre in Brasilien gearbeitet und gelebt. Gabriela reist außerdem gern und sagt, dass es ihr immer dabei hilft, ihre Kochkünste und -kenntnisse zu verbessern. Sie werden einige Gerichte zubereiten, wie beispielsweise Focaccia mit Salami, Mini-Provoleta (klebriger Käse), Empanadas de Carne Tucumanas und Carbonada (Rindfleischeintopf). Sie beenden Ihre Mahlzeit mit einem Dessert, Budín de pan con canela y dátiles con dulce de leche (Brotpudding mit Datteln) oder Arrollado se dulce de leche (mit Dulce de Leche gefülltes Brötchen), und etwas Tee oder Kaffee.

This felt like less of a class, and more like a visit with a long-time friend. Gabriela's charm, warmth and enthusiasm immediately won us over. We skipped the market tour, and met her at her home, which she remodeled to her exact needs. The kitchen is large, and perfect for sitting, talking and working together. Each dish was fun to help make, and tasted wonderful. The wine flowed freely and paired perfectly. What a wonderful evening. Highly recommended for your next visit to Buenos Aires!

We had a wonderful market tour in cooking class with Gabriela. Her home was beautiful. We made empanadas and stew which we’re both absolutely delicious. Her empanadas were some of the best I’ve tried. Gabriela was so much fun and we really enjoyed the evening.
