Diese Reise führt uns zunächst nach Valldemossa, wo Sie durch die friedlichen Kopfsteinpflasterstraßen schlendern oder sich entspannen und einen Kaffee genießen können, während Sie eine der lokalen Köstlichkeiten wie die „Coca de Patatas“ (kleiner Biskuitkuchen auf Kartoffelbasis) genießen Zu dieser Tageszeit haben wir die bezaubernde Stadt meist für uns alleine. Sie haben die Möglichkeit, das königliche Kartäuserkloster zu besichtigen, das einst ein königlicher Palast und die Heimat der Kartäusermönche war. (Eintritt im Preis nicht inbegriffen) Das Kartäuserkloster Valldemossa, auf Mallorquinisch „la Cartoixa de Valldemossa“, wurde im Laufe der Zeit für verschiedene Zwecke genutzt. Ursprünglich war es die Residenz von König Sancho I. von Mallorca und wurde später zur ehemaligen königlichen Residenz und schließlich zur königlichen Kartause.
Dies ist der Geburtsort von Catalina Thomàs, der am meisten verehrten Heiligen der Insel, bekannt als „La Beateta“, die im 16. Jahrhundert in Valldemossa geboren wurde. In ihrem Haus, das mittlerweile in eine Kapelle umgewandelt wurde, befindet sich am Eingang eine Kachel, die eine Szene aus dem Leben des ersten Heiligen Mallorcas darstellt.

Wir beginnen mit einer Panoramatour entlang des Yachthafens von Palma und genießen die herrliche Aussicht auf den geschäftigen Hafen von Palma.
Machen Sie einen Fotostopp vor der Kathedrale von Palma (La Seu) und erfahren Sie, wie die römisch-katholische Kultstätte an der Stelle einer alten arabischen Moschee errichtet wurde. Gehen Sie dann hinein und bewundern Sie die runden Buntglasfenster und die von Gaudí entworfenen Elemente. Der farbenfrohe und oft kontroverse Künstler der Moderne hat an der Stätte seine Spuren hinterlassen und sein auffälliges Altarbild gilt als das Highlight der Kathedrale.
Sie kommen vorbei und können die Schönheit des Königspalastes La Almudaina bewundern, der aus dem 14. Jahrhundert stammt. Es ist die offizielle Residenz Ihrer Majestäten des Königs und der Königin während ihrer Aufenthalte auf Mallorca. Zusammen mit der Kathedrale von Palma bilden sie ein Wahrzeichen der Hauptstadt der Balearen. Ein Palast, der die künstlerischen Stile widerspiegelt, die im Laufe der Geschichte der Insel aufeinander folgten.
Während Sie durch die wunderschöne Altstadt von Palma schlendern, stoßen Sie auf das Ayuntamiento de Palma, das sich an der Plaza de Cort in Palma befindet. Es wurde zwischen 1649 und 1680 von den Architekten Pere Bauçá, Miquel Oliver und Bartomeu Calafat erbaut. Zu den herausragendsten Elementen der Fassade gehören der Balkon mit sieben großen Fenstern, die Rellotge d'en Figuera (Figuera-Uhr) und die Banc del si no fos (Bank of, wenn Sie sie nicht verpassen). Das Gebäude selbst wurde per Dekret vom 3. Juni 1931 zum kunsthistorischen Denkmal des Nationalen Kunstschatzes erklärt.
Während Sie die atemberaubende Aussicht auf die Altstadt von Palma und die historische Architektur genießen, halten Sie Ausschau nach dem Olivenbaum von Cort! Dieser einzigartige Baum, bekannt als Olivera de Cort, wurde 1999 im Tramuntana-Gebirge als Symbol des Friedens und der Verwurzelung im Land gepflanzt. Der Cort Olivenbaum steht in der Mitte des Platzes, direkt vor dem Rathaus. Trotz des Umzugs und seines Alters trägt es weiterhin jedes Jahr Früchte.

Very nice car. A driver and a separate guide was probably not necessary. Beautiful island. We took the train back to Palma, it was a very nice ride. If it wasn't so expensive was probably 4 stars.

Regarding the guide, Camy is a fully licensed official guide accredited by the Balearic Tourism Authorities and conducts tours in English every week. Over the years she has received hundreds of excellent reviews from English-speaking clients praising both her knowledge and communication skills. While we understand that accents and speaking styles can be perceived differently by different people, your comment is certainly not representative of the feedback we normally receive. As for having both a driver and a guide, this is not an unnecessary luxury but a deliberate choice to provide a higher-quality service. Mallorca's roads, traffic and parking conditions require the driver's full attention. At the same time, the guide is there to explain the history and culture of the places visited, organise the itinerary, assist guests and ensure everything runs smoothly. Expecting one person to safely drive while simultaneously guiding a private tour would not be realistic and certainly would not improve the experience. Finally, private tours are naturally more expensive than shared excursions because the vehicle, guide and driver are dedicated exclusively to your party. Even so, our private tours are typically around 20–25% less expensive than comparable private excursions offered by many other companies in Mallorca. We had a wonderful day touring Valldemossa and Palma with Peter. He went above and beyond to help us—our daughter had dropped her cell phone a couple of days earlier in Naples, and he kindly assisted us in finding a store to try to repair her screen. After exploring the charming streets and visiting the beautiful cathedral in Palma, we traveled in a very comfortable Mercedes Sprinter van to the picturesque village of Valldemossa. We enjoyed some free time to explore and had lunch at the most charming little tapas restaurant, dining outside under a big shade tree. Peter was incredibly kind, professional, and accommodating to our group, making the day both relaxing and memorable. We truly enjoyed our time with him and would highly recommend his tour.

Communication was great leading up to excursion. Our private van was very nice and driver was excellent. Our guide was very knowledgeable and looked for our feedback on what we wanted to see and do. He did an excellent job navigating away from crowds and we highly recommend Luis as a guide. Very pleased!

Our guide Luis was very good, unfortunately the weather did not let us walk around the city. We went to Valdemosa and the town was very pretty. We could not go to the cathedral because of the rain and we had to continue our tour in the bus.
