Captain Shaun is such a great guy! He made us all including the kids feel like family. The instructions were easy to follow, and he let us all decide where our comfort levels were. He was focused on giving each of us a great trip out. The boat was comfortable and well equipped. He worked hard to make sure we all had a chance to get a fish on, which made for an awesome trip. We look forward to connecting again next time we are in San Diego.

Captain Bobby was awesome. EXTREMELY helpful and knowledgeable. This was definitely worth it. It was a private trip— so it felt less like a tour and more like just being out on a friend’s boat. I would certainly recommend Pelican Sportfishing to anyone.

Weather ended up cancelling our charter but I felt the communication made up to our cancellation was worth the review. Captain Shaun had texted us 4 days before our trip indicating that the weather wasn't looking favorable and wanted to see if we could change it. Unfortunately, the days he had available were days that we had purchased tickets for other activities that we could not change. We agreed to see how the weather looks the day before our charter but again it wasn't looking good. I wasn't going to give up just yet because weather can sometimes change overnight. Captain Shaun was very willing to see how the weather looked the morning of the charter. It was 5am the morning of our charter and Captain Shaun determined that the conditions did not look safe. It was an unfortunate cancellation but no one can control the weather. We really appreciated Captain Shaun's best efforts to make our charter happen but more importantly he put safety first when making the call to cancel.

Captain Bobby was exceptional at going over everything we would need to know to be successful. He was very helpful with explaining what we were attempting to catch and providing detailed instructions

Captain Shaun was very responsive and provided detailed directions leading up to the trip. Very friendly and knowledgeable. Knew the best fishing spots. Provided helpful tips throughout the day. Did all the hard work e.g., baiting the hook, cleaning the fish. Great value.

From start to finish Shaun was attentive and responsive. Great experience on the boat. Each time we lost a bait it was set up and back in the after immediately. We caught so much we started throwing some back.

Shaun was outstanding. Very attentive and knowledgeable. Well worth the private charter. Poles barely out the water and a second one waiting.

Shaun showed our family a great time, off-shore and in the SD bay. He is north knowledgeable and kind.

We had a blast going out with pelican sport fishing! We got on a lot of yellowfin tuna! Yummy snacks on the boat and a great time. Looking forward to planning another trip soon!

Went out for a coastal fishing trip this past August with my wife, my buddy and his girlfriend and we had a blast! My buddy and I are avid fishermen but have never fished out of San Diego before and Shaun shared a wealth of information with us AND put us on the fish! We went on the 6 hour coastal trip and Shaun delivered an amazing experience and we loaded up the cooler with a constant bite of rockfish and almost a dozen other species. Shaun was at the dock early and brought us back late. He baited hooks for my wife & buddy's girlfriend and took their fish off. The boat is in tip top shape, and all 37 fish we kept were fileted and on ice when we got back to the dock as well. Shaun is also super friendly and makes sure that YOU are the one who is catching the fish. All four of us had a great time and we're looking forward to heading out with Shaun down to the Coronado Islands to chase Yellowtail next time. I've been on many fishing charters, literally around the world, and Captain Shaun and Pelican Sportfishing are tops. Thanks Shaun!
