Beautiful culinary experience but especially human.. We returned to a Berber family with a kindness and a big heart.. we are very happy to have learned their way of cooking and living.. I recommend 1000%
A superb experience full of conviviality and sharing with the Boujemaa family for the preparation and tasting of pancakes and tagine from A to Z. We highly recommend this workshop to everyone.
Our host for the experience was Boujemaa and he made us very welcome introducing us to his family and accepting us into his home like one of their own. We were given the traditional Berber welcome of a glass of Mint tea and shown a traditional bread oven that had been used that moring. Our choice was to prepare and cook a chicken and vegetable Tagine, we were shown the best way to cut and layer the vegetables and chicken with each step being carefully explained. The name of each spice was given and we were told which to use for various dishes. Cooking of the Tagine was done over hot coals in the traditional way and we ate along side the family, the meal was fabulous. While the Tagine was cooking we made 1000 hole bread (a little like american pancakes) and sat down with the family for what I would call elevensis. A tour of the vilage was given and we learnt alot about the Berber culture. The overall experience was amazing and I would highly recommend anyone who visits Morocco to take this oportunity. However just be aware that the last 300m to the meeting point is a little tricky for Motorhomes. We have a 6.2m Peugeot boxer and I think anything bigger would struggle especialy as it's really off road. You can park nearer the center of the village an walk in though so it's not a major problem.
Delicious food, lovely people and an amazing walk/donkey ride (for the kids) around the oasis where we held turtles! One fairly concerning thing was not asking us to wash our hands before cooking, and my partner had to ask for soap to wash his hands properly after handling raw chicken...apart from this, it was a brilliant thing to do and I definitely recommend it.
We were welcomed by Boujemaa to make a chicken vegetable tagine, thousand hole pancakes and tea. It was a great experience with his family and we were able to enjoy this delicious meal. The Fint Oasis is a beautiful place just 1/2 hour from Ouarzazate. Boujemaa accompanied us on a very interesting guided tour of the Oasis. Unforgettable day!! We highly recommend this experience. It was an amazing experience for me and my fiance and the class and food preparation was a real authentic experience. We also enjoyed the history of the beber culture and how they prepare their food. The guide even showed us around the oasis which was amazing and explained the history of the place Highly recommend doing this if you are going to flint oasis
We made crepe mille holes and couscous immersed in a family. They welcomed us into their house, their kitchen to cook and eat, it was magical to live with them for half a day 👍 The hostess made us some bread in her oven! Excellent 😋
