Treffen Sie Ihren Reiseleiter morgens in Ihrem Hotel. Wir fahren eine Stunde zum Terrakotta-Krieger-Museum. Unterwegs halten wir am Reproduktionszentrum für Terrakotta-Krieger, wo Sie von einem lokalen Meister lernen können, wie man eine kleine Nachbildung der Terrakotta-Krieger aus demselben Tonmaterial wie die echten Reliquien im Museum herstellt. Von hier aus fahren wir zum weltberühmten Terrakotta-Krieger-Museum, wo Sie über 8.000 lebensgroße Terrakotta-Krieger und Tonpferde sehen können, die aus drei Grabgruben ausgegraben wurden. Diese wurden für den ersten chinesischen Kaiser begraben, um ihn im Jenseits zu beschützen, und wurden bis zu ihrer Entdeckung im Jahr 1974 dort aufbewahrt. Diese unterirdische Armee ist heute als das achte Weltwunder bekannt.
Nach dem Besuch des Terrakotta-Kriegsmuseums fahren wir zurück nach Xi'an, um das berühmte muslimische Viertel zu besuchen. Hier beginnen wir eine leckere Feinschmeckertour und probieren zum Mittagessen viele berühmte lokale Snacks, darunter kalte Liangpi-Nudeln, Roujiamo-Schweineburger und Bocaimian-Spinarch-Nudeln. Alle sind sehr lecker und in China sehr berühmt.
Nach dem Mittagessen erkunden wir die alte Stadtmauer. Sie ist auch als die Befestigungsanlagen von Xi'an bekannt und eines der größten alten militärischen Verteidigungssysteme der Welt und die vollständigste Stadtmauer, die in China erhalten geblieben ist. Die Mauer ist 12 Meter hoch, an der Spitze 12-14 Meter breit und an der Basis 15-18 Meter dick. Sie ist 13,7 Kilometer lang und von einem tiefen Graben umgeben. Alle 120 Meter erstreckt sich ein Wall von der Hauptmauer zum Schutz gegen das Aufklettern von Feinden. Es gibt insgesamt 98 Wälle, jeder mit einem Wachhaus, in dem Soldaten die gesamte Mauer schützen konnten, ohne sich dem Feind auszusetzen. Our tour guide Owen brought us to the Muslim Quarter in Xi’an. Of particular interest was the mosque which looks very much like a prayer garden. Owen pointed out many points of interest. He brought us to the prayer hall. We could not enter but doorways are open so that you can peer in. It is one of the oldest mosques in existence. Thanks to Owen we discovered this. Also we visited the Terra-cotta soldiers. This was a great tour. Since this is a popular site, our guide, Owen took us there when others would be leaving for lunch. A great strategy! Owen explained what was happening in each of the 4 pits. Without his excellent explanation it would have been a bunch of figures in a pit. I would highly recommend this tour. Thank you Owen! The city wall is worth the climb. Beautiful view of the city and an opportunity to get an understanding of life in the past. Our guide, Owen, did a superb job of explaining the wall structure as well as the purpose and the different gates, etc. I highly recommend going to the city wall.

What a great experience! Who would have ever thought that you would make such a discovery when digging a well! Dodo was great about explaining everything and answering questions. We had a great tour of the Terra Cotta Warriors with Dodo. Having the van ride and being able to skip the line for entrance was great especially given how hot it was. Lunch was perfect. We also got to see the great mosque and the east gate of the city wall. Very good for families with younger children.

Beautiful sites, very rainy day. Driver was kind, gave us two umbrellas in addition to our two. He also helped us with the baby carriage, always smiling and friendly.
