This tour was outstanding! The value was fantastic and we would’ve paid more. Several things we liked was that it wasn’t a whole day, so we had time to do other things. It was about two hours. The guide was very kind and knowledgeable. He let us know about different movies that were filmed there as well as about plants and animals in the area. I didn’t expect the hike to be completely in the jungle with very narrow, slippery pass, however, without going that way, we couldn’t have the same experience. Bring great hiking shoes for the walk down and up, but also bring water shoes for when you go in the water because there’s rocks. Again, probably the highlight of our trip. We will 100% do this again when we return.
Awesome experience! My family and I have never been that close to a waterfall. Best activity my family and I have done on the beautiful island of Kauai. Tour guide was very good at explaining everything and had a great sense of humor.
This was an awesome experience that our family of 6 (3 teenagers, husband/wife, 76-yr old senior) did. We had two tour guides who helped us go through the hike through the 'jungle' to get to the waterfalls. The scenery obviously was amazing, and when you reach the waterfalls, it is breathtaking. Swimming in the falls was refreshing and everything you could imagine. A few tips - It is very muddy going through the jungle going up and down different terrain. Make sure you have water shoes with good grip or go barefoot. If you wear regular athletic footwear, it will get severely muddy so if you plan to use those shoes, expect it to get wet and dirty. Make sure you hold on to the rope going through the hike as it is very slippery. You can use a walking stick that they provide. We didn't use it but our 76-year old mother used it and she found it very helpful. I am not a hiker, and this was rated one of the easier and shorter hikes online. Its about a half a mile hike down to the waterfall through rocky, wet terrain which I was a little nervous going through, but I made it. I hiked all the way back up without stopping so its doable. Our 76 year old was able to keep up as well. Definitely book the trip and chase those waterfalls! Definitely worth it!
It's a fun experience! Light hike, good for any skill level, beautiful waterfalls, and a refreshing swim. The guides were very knowledgeable, professional and fun!
What a great excursion! The hike is not too strenuous and the waterfalls are just beautiful. My family and I had a wonderful time and we highly recommend this activity! It was a fun way to celebrate my 60th birthday!! One bit of advice: BRING (and use!) BUG SPRAY!!
It was a great experience. Waterfalls were beautiful. Make sure to wear mosquito repellent. Guide was exceptional.
Great for low to moderate activity level. Not a strenuous activity…Reviews and descriptions of other waterfall hikes scared me off. Had given up on the idea and ran across this one and it was perfect.
Went on this tour with my husband and sons (18 and 21), and everyone loved it. The waterfalls were gorgeous, and my sons really enjoyed swimming in them. It was a bonus that they were able to climb up and walk behind the large waterfall. This was a big highlight from our trip. Our guide, Rashad, was great - very entertaining as he taught us about the vegetation and Kauai history. The hike is short but steep - not too bad on the way down to the falls, but obviously harder going uphill on the way back. There were ropes to hold onto which was especially helpful on the big uphill steps (for those of us with shorter legs). Recommend decent shoes for the hike - our water shoes were okay for the hike and were a must for the falls because it was rocky and slimy walking in the water. Bug spray is also good idea as one of my sons got a lot of bites. The drive between the main road and the meeting location is one way with absolutely no shoulder which is a problem if someone from the previous tour is leaving. We were forced to reverse a very long way back to the main road because multiple cars were leaving when we were arriving 15 min before our start time. And then we had no idea if more cars were going to be coming. My recommendation to the tour operator would be to give more time between the tours to allow for everyone to clear out before the next group starts coming in.
Amazing experience. Highly recommend. Frolicking in waterfalls- can’t get better than this. Great guide.
Loved this - was a bit concerned as it rained but no issues and our guide, Raz was very informative and we enjoyed the stories and history about the area. Waterfalls were beautiful and loved having the area to ourselves. Worth every penny!
