Reiseverlauf
Die historische Tour findet in der lebendigen Altstadt Pelourinho statt, die seit 1985 zum UNESCO-Weltkulturerbe gehört. Die Tour beginnt am Terreiro de Jesus Platz, einem der 3 wichtigsten Plätze in der Altstadt. Es gibt 3 Kirchen, darunter die Kathedrale von Salvador, und ein Gebäude, in dem die erste medizinische Fakultät in Brasilien war. Wir empfehlen einen Besuch der Kathedrale und ihrer schönen Dekoration und Sakristei (Eintritt nicht inbegriffen). Auf dem Weg hinunter zum Pelourinho-Platz spazieren wir durch die gepflasterten Straßen, sehen Kunsthandwerk, bewundern die farbenfrohen Kolonialhäuser und spüren den Rhythmus der Stadt.
Der Pelourinho-Platz ist der Hauptplatz in der Altstadt und eines der Wahrzeichen von Salvador. Dort sehen wir die Mutter des Rosenkranzes aus der Blacks Church oder „The Blue Church“, ein sehr wichtiges Denkmal aus der Zeit der Sklaverei in Brasilien. Von dort aus können wir auch die andere Seite der Altstadt namens Carmo mit Blick auf 3 Kirchen sehen. Wir gehen zur Carmo Street, wo wir die N. Sr. dos Passos Kirche und ihre berühmten Treppen sehen. Normalerweise ist dieser Platz eine belebte Gegend mit Touristen und Einheimischen, in der Sie den Rhythmus der Trommeln der einzigartigen Afro-Reggae-Musik spüren können.
Von dort gehen wir immer durch die gepflasterten Straßen zum 3 .. Hauptplatz, Kreuzplatz. Es gibt eine der beeindruckendsten und reichsten Kirchen Brasiliens, die Saint Francis Church and Convent, mit ihrem üppigen goldblättrigen Barock-Interieur und einer Veranda mit den berühmten portugiesischen handbemalten Fliesen. Wir empfehlen einen Besuch (Eintritt ca. 1 Euro). Es wird ungefähr 20 Minuten kostenlos an diesem Platz gegeben, so dass Sie Zeit haben, ein erfrischendes Kokoswasser zu trinken, wenn Sie möchten, und die Gegend zu genießen.
Auf dem Weg zum Praça Tomé de Souza (Stadtplatz) gehen wir über den Sé-Platz mit dem alten Bischofshaus, dem Sé Belvedere, wo sich die Falling Breaking Cross-Skulptur und der Blick auf die Bucht befinden. Sobald wir am Stadtplatz angekommen sind, genießen wir ein berühmtes Wahrzeichen von Salvador, den Blick von der Unterstadt und der All Saints Bay am Lacerda-Aufzug. Das Rathaus, der Stadtrat aus der Kolonialzeit und der Rio Branco-Palast aus dem frühen 20. Jahrhundert sind alle dort.
Es ist ein berühmter Platz, eine Spezialität in der Karnevalszeit. Schöne Aussicht auf All Saints Bay und Luxushotelbereich.

Ana was a great guide and very knowledgeable. She took us around and even helped us see things we hadn’t planned!
We had very good experience with our tour guide Carlos through the city of Salvador. He was very nice, competent and speaks good English. He showed us the best places in the city and gave us very interesting facts about the Brazilian history.
Salvador is vibrant and alive with music, culture, and history! This tour gave us an in-depth view of the city’s Afro-Brazilian roots, colonial history, and stunning coastline.
I am suspicious of commenting because I love Salvador, I have a very strong connection with the historical and cultural heritage of this city, I am passionate about Sacred Art and the Bahian capital presents a vast number of temples in short space, characteristic this originating from Portugal.
Ana met us at the cruise terminal and quickly began describing the history and culture of Salvador. We took the elevator up to Pelourinho to see several several interesting spots including a craft market and several churches. She did a great job of keeping us informed along the way. We found Ana's tour to be a great value, much better than the 40-person excursions offered by our cruise.
Salvador is a very interesting city and worth exploring with a guide if it’s your first visit. Gabriela will provide lots of tidbits, advice and recommendations.
It was wonderful! Not only that we saw the most beautiful places in Salvador, but also the dedication in telling stories and knowledge about the history of the city, were really great at Ana! We also visited corners that you can only see if you know exactly about Salvador and its special corners and the culture. So, a clear recommendation and always back!
You need to take this tour with Ana! She is so well informed of the city, culture, and food. Oh my goodness. We did not expect much from this port city on our cruise but Ana opened our eyes and taste buds to the amazing city Salvador Bahia is. She knows the locals. She grew up here. You will get everything and more with Ana at your side. Don’t miss the St. Francis church! Or the coconut milk with lime!!! Can’t say enough about Ana and the city! ENJOY!!!
A unique experience to meet Salvador through the hands of a Bahiana in love with the city. Super guide, with a lot of historical knowledge that she manages to connect to the local culture. It was two days with Ana, a panoramic tour and another walking in the historic center, we took great advantage, ending with a delicious moqueca in a restaurant recommended by her.
Ana is simply amazing!!! We were 3 young couples from Germany in Salvador and decided to hire her for a tour. She knows really a looot. Explained the history, the culture, the food and much more not only through words but by showing and tasting... We had a great time, got to know a lot of nice areas and places, tried several typical foods during the tour such as Tapioca and Acarajé, ate in a great local restaurant and drank the famous cravinho, all by suggestion from her... We also watched the famous Capoeira, a mix of dance and martial arts... I can only recommend her. Her german is excellent, as well as her english!!! Go for it and be sure if a great experience!!
