Ask for the Rose of Firenze! This amazing woman will take you on not just a tour but an experience and education all at once. She taught me to experience what you are looking at THEN take a picture and also snap a second pic of the placard so you have it for yourself in the future. I can say her guidance changes how I explored Italy for the rest of my trip. She showed us what mattered and encouraged us to expand from there. I urge you to ask for Rose as your guide. Silvia was amazing with extensive knowledge of the art and all of the movements in the Gothic and Renaissance periods. And she was very understandable the entire time, with excellent English. She was kind and accommodating with my husband’s need for elevators. It was a lifetime dream to see these, and she made it happen!
