Krista was our guide for our private trip to the Hill of Crosses, and she was awesome!! We were picked up on time and driven from Riga to the Hill of Crosses in Lithuania. Krista shared interesting facts and history throughout the comfy car trip (we also stopped to take some pictures at the border). When we arrived at the Hill, Krista spent time providing some history, showing us the site and highlighting some of the different crosses before leaving us to spend time wandering around and exploring by ourselves. When we were ready, Krista drove us back to Riga, again with stories and facts that made this tour so special. At the end, it was like having to say goodbye to an old friend. We cannot recommend booking Latvian Gem for a private trip to the Hill of Crosses highly enough. A wonderful day!

Krista is a wonderful guide, she communicated with us when we booked the trip, organised picking us up directly from our hotel, even bringing us a little anniversary gift which was so thoughtful and started the day with even more excitement. Krista consistently provided us with knowledge of all areas we drive through, nature in the local area, the different types of buildings we saw and everything there was to know about the Hill of Crosses. We had a fantastic day and if we had longer in Riga we would have most definitely booked another trip.

An eery but interesting place to visit. Literally 1000’s of crosses. Different stories for reason of its origin all fascinating. Guide who drove us there was very informative. Lots of other facts and interests shared with us along the route too. .

This was a fabulous trip. Krista was the greatest. She was knowledgeable about the entire area we drove through from Riga to the Hill: the legends, the history and. the present. She went above and beyond what could be expected on such a tour. She even stopped for specific requests and geocaches which she was also already knowledgeable about and more than willing to help hunt! Because of this trip we've gotten another country visited!! The tour guide made this trip incredibly worth the money, not only was he friendly and helpful in locating us and an incredible driver, but he was incredibly knowledgeable about Riga, Lithuania and the Hill of Crosses. He made each landmark feel more alive and had interesting stories the entire time, there was hardly any time on the trip we weren't engaged in an interesting story or conversation. I would highly recommend this trip to anyone visiting Riga, not only will you learn more about the city itself, but you'll see and learn so much more than travelling alone!
