My wife and I took a private tour of the mud volcanoes, the Gobustan petroglyphs, the Fire Temple (Ateshgah) and Burning Mountain (Yanar Dag). Our guide Rajab and a driver picked us up from our apartment and safely took us from point to point providing detailed historic overviews of everything along the way. Rajab spoke very good English, was patient in letting us take our time and was super organised in making phone calls ahead of time to make sure that everything ran like clockwork. The sights themselves are spectacular and this private tour is surely so much better than being led around in a group. More time and more info tailored to our interests, a big thank you to Bag Baku!
We loved our tour guide Shahriyar. He was kind, knowledgeable and fun. We felt safe and cared for. His taxi colleagues were also kind and welcoming. The gobustan petroglyphs visit was a bit crowded in some parts but very nice nonetheless. We enjoyed the back country drive to the mud volcanoes as well. Great tour! Thank you Shahriyar.
Can’t go wrong with Bag tours. Aga was exceptional in every way - he took great care of us, explained the history of Gobustan very well. Highly recommended!

Wow. Great nature trip with history. Best experience and great photo scenes. You will never run out of nature backdrop.
I've been using Bag Baku for almost 5 years now to do both group tours and the occasional private tour. Services and tours have always been really well-managed and the destinations awesome. My friends and I booked a half-day tour with Bag Baku this month to see the petroglyphs at Gobustan and the mud volcanoes. Our guide for the day, Valeh, picked us up from our accommodation very punctually. We were really lucky to have Valeh as our guide this time, as he's an archeologist and very passionate and knowledgable about the sites we visited that day. We spent of lot of time in the museum at Gobustan, which is really well put together, before heading up to the petroglyphs. Visiting the museum first adds a lot to your visit to the petroglyphs and gives them a lot more meaning. We learned a lot on this trip, enjoyed the sights and had a great lunch. The only thing that was disappointing was that the car provided was really small and too small for us to even sit comfortably across the back and there was the usual issue of having to have the driver pull over and pull down the back seats to get access to the seat belts.
Loved it, very nice guide❤️ He is very knowlishable and made our trip special - enjoyed the lunchbreak very much.
First of all I came across Bag Baku only the night before the tour starts and I was so glad that the staff helped me book the tour at 11pm! The tour was very informative, and the pace was reasonable. The coach was also very comfortable and everything was well arranged. It was a great touring and learning experience. I highly recommend joining this tour!
Absolutely recommended half-day tour that in 45 minutes drive takes you to see the gobustan region between petroglyphs (you enter to visit a reserve, ticket aside) and mud volcanoes. Payment only in cash, pick up with driver and guide directly to the hotel. Recommended
