Unser erster Halt ist der amerikanische Friedhof in Colleville-sur-Mer, eine ergreifende Gedenkstätte für die gefallenen alliierten Soldaten. Hier haben Sie die Gelegenheit, den Gefallenen Ihre Ehrerbietung zu erweisen und mehr über die Bedeutung dieses feierlichen Ortes zu erfahren. Anschließend fahren wir nach Omaha Beach, wo Sie einen Spaziergang entlang des Strandes unternehmen, der Zeuge eines der schwersten Angriffe des D-Day war. Ihr Reiseleiter wird Ihnen von den heldenhaften Anstrengungen und Opfern der amerikanischen Streitkräfte während der Landung berichten. Von Omaha Beach aus fahren wir weiter zur Pointe du Hoc, einem Ort auf einer Klippe, der am D-Day ein strategisches Ziel für die Rangers der US-Armee war. Unsere Reise führt uns anschließend in die charmante Stadt Sainte-Mère-Église, die für die Geschichte des Fallschirmjägers John Steele bekannt ist, dessen Fallschirm sich während des Luftangriffs am Kirchturm verfangen hatte.

Our guide was very knowledgeable with facts and stories at the sites and during the drives. She had a book of photos and charts that added visuals to her words. With lunch this is a 7 hour excursion. Very manageable walking even for us old timers. Lots of driving because it covers Omaha to Utah and back from Bayeux. We were experiencing the extreme heat and dryness near Paris. So it was a surprise that the coast was 70 F, 25mph wind with small rain spells. Our guide handled it expertly by doing storytelling in the car for those of us who didn’t want to brave the elements. She led the way through gales and sand for those who wanted the experience.

Took a family trip and selected this tour since it was private. We had some delays in our travel and the tour company was able to make accommodations and we are very appreciative of that. We had an awesome guide (Norman) who had extensive knowledge of history and the region. He was easy to listen to and we could tell he really enjoyed his job. We can’t thank him enough for making this visit very enjoyable especially for my dad. Norman also lived close by and gave us many other recommendations. My dad left his phone in the tour van and Norman met us up afterwards and dropped off the phone at our rental. I highly recommend this tour, ask for Norman!

The one day 'D-Day Tours of Normandy' conducted by Malcolm Clough was very special. It was my husband's birthday present to me - a very special present as at 67 years old I was desperate to pay homage to my late father - Major William G Denney landing on Sword Beach on 6th June 1944. Malcolm made me feel as though he knew my father, knew what he did and where he went!! The whole day's tour was beautifully structured to really show me what my father did and what he went through. It was personal and sensitive. I cannot express how much I appreciated that one day tour. Malcolm made me feel that my father was there with me, in front of me. Malcolm was interested and interesting. I cannot recommend him highly enough! He provided me with the best birthday experience ever and have enriched my memories of my late father! THANK YOU MALCOLM.
Our tour guide, Peter, was fantastic. We traveled with my 11 yo grandson who is a WWII history buff. Peter focused his conversation to James and kept the adults engaged as well. He was super accommodating to my Veteran adult children, one of which is a parachuter. We saw the beaches and more. Highly recommend! The experience was so much more than I expected.

We actually did two tours with Noresta. We spent July 1 with Norman at the US d-day sites and July 2nd with Peter at Mont at Michel. The vehicle and the service was 1st class. Both tour guides were informative. Norman had a tough job covering Utah and Omaha beaches. Super well done and I think we just scratched the surface of the history, equipment, etc. he knows. Peter did a great job getting us ready for Mont St Michel. I would book Noresta again!

Norman was awesome! Easy going, very knowledgeable and approachable. He provided lots of interesting information yet balanced time for self exploration. I would highly recommend this tour and Norman. It still seems like a second full day tour of other sites wouldn’t complete the wealth of history this area provides.

Excellent tour of the American WW2 sites in Normandy. Our driver Sebastien and guide Audrey were very friendly and informative. Ty e teens with us learned a lot and the adults were very pleased.

It was very informative and perfect for first time in Normandy. Well organized and felt private even though everything was crowded. We had travel delays and they were great adjusting to it. They are very responsive! Audrey was amazing and loved our driver Sebastian. Please use them!!!!
