Entdecken Sie die „Pointe du Hoc“, wo am D-Day über 200 Fallschirmjäger die 27 Meter hohen Klippen erklommen. Besuchen Sie einen echten Bunker aus dem Zweiten Weltkrieg und sehen Sie sich die Krater an, die die Bomben im Juni 1944 hinterlassen haben.
Der amerikanische Friedhof mit seinen 9000 in Reihen angeordneten Gräbern, seinem Denkmal und Museum sowie einem Kurzfilm über den D-Day, der dabei hilft, den Kontext des Krieges zu verstehen. Sie können an der „Taps“-Zeremonie mit Flaggenhissung auf dem Friedhof teilnehmen, die um 16 Uhr (Nebensaison) und um 17 Uhr (Hochsaison) stattfindet. Dies kann je nach Termin variieren.

Colin was an attentive and thoughtful guide. He made sure I was comfortable throughout the journey. Most importantly, he was quite knowledgeable of the Normandy invasion and went the extra distance to explain with the use of photos he stored in his iPad, the invasion. What was remarkable, was his effort at trying to show exactly what point or place was the actual photo taken during the invasion. We managed to climb into the bunkers before the crowds converged and he showed me several bunkers that other visitors were not normally led to. I am thankful and will recommend him to anyone for the Normandy excursion

The whole experience is informative and humbling. The cemetery and the movie they play will bring tears to your eyes bringing home the sacrifices these, and all our soldiers make for our freedom. Our guide Colin was amazing. There wasn’t a question he couldn’t answer and he was patient while we took photographs. This trip was on my husband’s bucket list but I wasn’t sure I wanted to go but I’m very glad I did. I learned so much, saw such beauty and sadness at the same time in the cemetery. We actually went into German bunkers, one that still had a cannon in it. It brought history to life.

My wife and I spent 2.5 days with Colin from Finding France. We stayed in Honfleur and went for a full day to Normandy Beaches and then to Mont. Saint Michel for another full day. Words cannot do justice to Colin's professionalism, superb knowledge about WW 11 and the evolution and description of Mont. Saint Michel. Tour guide, Colin, provided a wealth of historical information about Dday and WW2 in the European theater. We had an uncle who participated in the Dday paratrooper operations and died shortly after. Colin helped us to find the location of the Airborne Division's landing and temporary American Cemetery near St Mere Eglise. Being on the beaches really helped to make us appreciate how enormous the operation was , and how spread out the beaches were. The area is very pretty and peaceful, and hasn't really changed since WW2. Also, you won't find a better guide.
