Dann ist Viña del Mar eine moderne Stadt mit natürlichen Attraktionen wie Stränden, Parks und botanischen Gärten. Bekannt als die Gartenstadt. Ihre Geschichte beginnt zu Beginn des 20. Jahrhunderts mit dem Erwerb ihres Landes durch ausländische und inländische reiche Kaufleute, die ihre Geschäfte in Valparaiso hatten und als Erbe eine reiche und schöne Architektur einer ruhmreichen Vergangenheit hinterließen.

Auf dem Weg nach Valparaiso machen wir eine schöne Besichtigungstour durch die Stadt Lo Abarca und das Casablanca-Tal.

Dies verdankt sie ihren bezaubernden und steilen „AUFZÜGEN“ (Standseilbahnen, Seilbahnen) mit Steigungen von 30° bis 50°, ihren gepflasterten Straßen, farbenfrohen Häusern, jahrhundertealten Gebäuden, Geheimgängen, endlosen Treppen, Museen mit einzigartigem Charakter, Promenaden mit herrlicher Aussicht auf den Seehafen, überall kunstvollen Wandmalereien, bescheidenen und freundlichen Menschen, an den Hügeln hängenden Häusern und vielem mehr.
In Viña del Mar sehen wir eine moderne Stadt mit Naturattraktionen wie Stränden, Parks und botanischen Gärten. Bekannt als die Gartenstadt, weil wir hier einen warmen Sommer, wunderschöne Sonnenuntergänge im Herbst, die Düfte der Blumen im Frühling und die natürliche Kraft des Winters genießen können. Es ist wie ein Ferienort. Es ist interessant, die Unterschiede zwischen Valparaiso und Viña del Mar zu sehen.
Auf dem Weg zum Santiago Hotel oder zum Flughafen Santiago fahren wir durch das Casablanca-Tal und das Curacavi-Tal mit einer wunderschönen Landschaft aus Wein und landwirtschaftlichen Nutzpflanzen.

Our guide was on time and communicated with us prior to meeting in a timely and clear way, His vehicles was clean and comfortable and his driving was excellent. He was friendly, knowledgeable and considerate. Our tour of Valparaiso was excellent. He went at our pace and took us all over emphasizing what we were interested in. He was cognizant of our safety and parked in secure locations, especially because we had our luggage with us.
Great way to get to Santiago after a cruise! Valparaiso is a vibrant city with interesting buildings, squares, beaches and hills. Special event the day we traveled, but our guide Juan Pablo and our driver Juan Carlos creatively found ways around the traffic and blocked streets to show us the city. They also gave us a great tour of Santiago.
We had a lovely day with Francesca in Valparaiso. The historic parts of the city are picturesque with a unique artistic blend; picture small shops, galleries, and public murals interspersed between boutique hotels. Our guide was knowledgeable, flexible in terms of schedule and content, and 100% fluent in English. The highlight for me was the funiculars which are still in operation and date back more than 100 years. If you have some time pre or post cruise and need to transfer between Santigo and one of the ports (at either San Antonio or Valparaiso), this tour is a good way to go.
Our day with Carol and Adrian was eventful! Carol was an excellent guide, who knew so much about art, history, politics,wine, food indigenous culture the list goes on..... Valpariso is a must if visiting Chile. So much history and street art to see. A tour like this certainly makes you appreciate all the aspects. Carol is such a vibrant and friendly person who obviously enjoys her job and loves meeting new people. Whilst leaving Valpariso we discovered that a national power outage had happened and all the roads into Santiago were at a standstill. Adrian was a star and went all the backroads to get us to our hotel - 3 hours later! Then get Carol and himself back home as well. Real superstars.🤗
As noted Hector is the middleman between you and the tour guides. He arranges tours between his excellent base of private tour guides and you. All the fabulous reviews posted here are really about the private tour guides and not really about Hector's process. My tour guide was also excellent, however I had a few issues with Hector's process. His prices are higher than most, which is to be expected, because you have to pay the standard price for the tour guide PLUS Hector's fee. He is in business to make money. You can find the same tours directly which will cost less. But if you're in a last minute bind...well you have to pay up. For credit card purchases you pay through a Credit Card System which ends up charging you a 4% service charge plus a 3% credit card fee. They state the 4% is less than credit card foreign transaction fees, but most travelers have credit cards that don’t charge foreign transaction fees. In addition, they charge you in USD converted at a lower than bank rate. Better to just charge in Chilean money because you’ll get a more favorable rate from your credit card company. Would be so much cheaper if the company would just charge your credit card in Chilean money and add the 3% fee. The net result is that my final bill was about 10% higher. Normally I would pay in cash upon arrival as other tour companies have allowed. But Hector wants payment upfront using the Wise.com wire transfer service. Of course they have fees and exchange rates which really isn’t much cheaper than paying by credit card. Hector’s service is fine, but you pay more plus have unnecessary fees involved in payment. No other reviewer seems to mention this. I rated Hector’s guides as a 5 – just like a majority of the reviewers. Hector’s process is rated a 2. Could be simpler and more affordable.

There are different profesionals around the world, and even when they do the same type of JOB... you will see they have different prices….Why? BECAUSE... it is all about REPUTATION, Seriousness, Knowledagable, YEARS and YEARS of EXPERIENCE. And if you see... those kind of services are NOT FREE. These kind of PROFESSIONAL people are NOT cheap eather. About the process of payment... if you noted... when you arrived to San Antonio.... is FAR AWAY from SANTIAGO about 150km (95mls) away, one way. That means we must to pay In ADVANCE, Gas, tolls, CruiseTerminal entrance fees, Guides, Drives, etc. etc. etc. also WE must to assure Travelers to SHOW UP charging in advance,,, exactly when you do it with a flight ticket, Hotel accomodation, medical consults and any kind of Serious and professional services. if you do not pay anything ahead... some people simply, Do not SHOW up making us waste time, money, and the oportunity to tour around people who really apreciate our PROFESSIONAL tour services. About Business.. in fact... Big Share group tours services are really good businesses. Not really a Private servicie Because.. we do not have private service everyday… and we do not do much money as a Regular Tour Service…. So, those big tour operators really make a lots of money they have lots of people everyday, because most of these people are on a small Budget obviously they use a cheaper and regular tour service... Cruise lines make thousands of dollars… and you used one of them.. Because you arrived to San Antonio Port on a cruiseship About price... when people contact us via a third party such any TRAVEL WEB site or Tour Operator or Travel Agency... OBVIOUSLY you will pay more because all of those TRAVEL WEB SITES charge 30%, 35%, 40%, 45% even 50% of THEIR comission. it is part any kind of business. We didn't invented it. This system is in the world market even before we were born. About payment… we send you different methods… and we sent you everything with all INFORMATION ahead … NOTHING hided… you decide which one you want to pay… and when people contact us DIRECTLY to us… with any third party in the middle we obviously give our own Price, much cheaper and convenient... and when people do not feel to pay 100% in advance we are very flexible too. Also… you required our service just on a Cruise Day.... Many of people requires our profesional Tour service in the same day… and all of them require us a Private, Personalized & Flexible Service. That means… prices supposed to be far much more...That is natural in many different áreas. As an Good exe... try to purchase an air ticket for tomorrow and try to buy a ticket for the next year. So, Price, for sure Will be Far much more different. We DO NOT charge more or less when we have a cruise day… in fact we charge the same all of our summer season. No change. NOT hided prices. WE are very clear with all our information we send to all of our clients. So, as you see if your priority is just Price and not quality… You much better take a taxi or public bus when you travel around the world... they Will charge about us$5 or us$10 or whatever they charge. Public services or taxi services always are much cheaper around the world, but NOT TRUSTY. NO Reputation. it is a lottery… May be Good or bad experience. As you arrive via CruiseTerminal... Cruise lines... samething!!!… a Cruise Ship with less then 500 passengers cost far much more than a CruiseShip that holds 3000 or 4000 passengers. Nothing new!!! In our Vehicle were ONLY for you, Privately. In a Big bus with 20 or 30 or 40 people obviously are much cheaper… 1 teenager guide with not much experience most of the time and definetly, the service is not as Good as private service. we are very dissapoinated about your UNFAIR review…. Francisca and Carlos were great, courteous, and knowledgeable. They made us feel at home. Explained all the details and history of the places we visit. They gave us a taste of the culture, foods, wine, and beer of the country. We highly recommend them and would use them again when we return.
