Tourenplan Schloss Lekuresi Unser erstes Ziel ist die Burg Lekuresi, eine markante Festung aus dem 16. Jahrhundert. Das Schloss wurde in quadratischer Form mit zwei diagonal angeordneten Rundtürmen erbaut und bietet einen Panoramablick auf Saranda, das Ionische Meer und die nahegelegene griechische Insel Korfu. 2️⃣ Das blaue Auge (Syri i Kaltër) Als nächstes besuchen wir die Blue Eye Spring, eines der faszinierendsten Naturwunder Albaniens. Das kristallklare Wasser sprudelt aus der Tiefe der Erde und erzeugt ein faszinierendes tiefblaues „Auge“, umgeben von sattem Grün. 3️⃣ Butrint-Nationalpark Unser letzter Halt ist der Butrint-Nationalpark, ein UNESCO-Kulturerbe, das Schichten der Geschichte aus alten Zivilisationen zeigt. Hier erkundest du: Das römische Theater Der Tempel des Asklepios Das Aquädukt Die byzantinische Kirche Ein Spaziergang durch den Park fühlt sich an wie eine Zeitreise – von der hellenistischen Zeit bis zur römischen und byzantinischen Epoche – inmitten einer ruhigen Naturlandschaft.

Das Schloss befindet sich auf einem strategischen Hügel mit Blick auf die Stadt Saranda, südöstlich des Stadtzentrums. Von hier aus kann man die ganze Stadt sowie die Inseln von Ksamil kontrollieren.
Buthrotum war eine antike griechische und später römische Stadt und ein Bistum in Epirus. Buthrotum war seit prähistorischen Zeiten bewohnt und war eine Stadt des griechischen Stammes der Chaonier, später eine römische Kolonie und ein Bistum. Butrint ist seit prähistorischen Zeiten bewohnt und beherbergte eine griechische Kolonie, eine römische Stadt und ein Bistum. Nach einer Zeit des Wohlstands unter byzantinischer Verwaltung und einer kurzen Besetzung durch die Venezianer wurde die Stadt im Spätmittelalter nach der Bildung von Sümpfen aufgegeben. Die derzeitige archäologische Stätte ist ein Aufbewahrungsort von Ruinen, die die einzelnen Epochen der Stadtentwicklung darstellen.
Die Schönheit eines dichten grünen Waldes vermischt mit dem kristallklaren Wasser der Quellen. Sehr interessant ist auch die Anwesenheit eines seltenen Insekts namens "The Blue Dragonfly" Das Blaue Auge (albanisch: Syri i kaltër) ist eine Wasserquelle, ein natürliches Phänomen in Sarande, Albanien. Als beliebte Touristenattraktion sprudelt das klare blaue Wasser des Flusses aus einem atemberaubenden, mehr als fünfzig Meter tiefen Pool. Die Taucher sind auf fünfzig Meter gesunken, aber es ist immer noch unklar, wie tief das Karstloch tatsächlich ist.

We were on a Seabourn cruise and the on board shore excursions only include 2 of the 3 major things to see during our stop. Instead of settling for 2 we searched out for a private tour that would take us to all 3 locations. Fantastic experience from start to finish. Easy to communicate with once we arrived in port, prompt pickup and a fantastic tour. Een include front row parking at the sites. Upon return our tour guide recommended a wonderful restaurant on the beach and then we had a short walk back to the ship. Awesome experience.

It was a bit chaotic when we got there but our driver knew how to get us to the front. The water colour is just breathtaking . There are a few short walks along the banks of the water too, which are so peaceful, even with the people there. The water is very cold!
We took a trip to Albania from Corfu and booked this excursion and Butrint on our ferry on the way over,The colours and clarity of the water is amazing. We were told it was safe to drink the water so we tried it. It was cool refreshing and tasted good. It is a place which deserve to be visited, for sure

If you are in Saranda try this amazing experience... Blue Eye 👁 was a magical place ( cold , blurred water) Butrint National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of Albanian’s most important archeological sites. Lekursi Castle offers you a panoramic view from above the city
