Private Tour: Das erstaunliche Paleokastritsa + lokale Verkostungen

Fanis was our driver. He was so kind, knowledgeable, accommodating, and gave us the perfect tour of the highlights of Corfu! We stopped at the best beach with mountains all around, boat ride to the caves (highly recommend for best views), stopped at a tasting of alcohol, olive oil, honey, nuts and so much more! We snuck in Mouse Island and saw a plane fly overhead and ended in Old Town Corfu where we are local cuisine (Fanis recommendation) and shopped. Pick up and drop off from cruise port! All around one of best excursions!!! Also super safe country.

Xenofon did a wonderful job adapting our tour due to the weather. We very much enjoyed the local tastings The highlight was havin Xenofon’s local knowledge to take us to out of the way places.

We enjoyed our day on this private customized tour. Chris was easy to work with during booking and prior to our arrival. Fanis picked us up at the cruise terminal and drove us around to a number of destinations including beaches, overlooks, the monastery, Mouse Island, and through the town as well as the countryside. We enjoyed learning a little about the country, the island, and the culture. It was an enjoyable day spent seeing new things and sharing stories. He dropped us right in front of Old Town and showed us how to return to our cruise ship later. He even gave us a recommendation of where to get a gyro, which was very good, but quite an ordeal to actually get. Overall, a nice way to spend a day in Corfu!

June 30, 2024: My wife and I really enjoyed our private shore excursion from the Port of Corfu to Paleokastritsa. Our driver, Fanis, was prompt, courteous, and provided great conversation. Fanis even adjusted the itinerary, at our request, so we could avoid most of the tourists at the beaches but still enjoy a swim in the Ionian Sea at La Grotta Bar. Fanis also included a brief stop at the Carburi Estate, where we were able to sample local olives, olive oils, jams, honeys, and liqueurs. We had a great time and highly recommend all fellow cruisers consider spending their time off ship in Paleokastritsa.

Our private driver was amazing! His knowledge of the area and history lessons made the tour a great experience. The local tasting experience was very informative and tasty. My husband and I would select this tour again.

We had a great time on this private tour. Our guide Fanis greeted us right outside the cruise port entrance and our ride was very comfortable. He started by taking us to Paleokastritsa, discussing much with us about the culture of Corfu. Once there, he took us to the Monastery which is probably my only con about this trip. Fanis was great but the only glip in the trip was that he dropped us off without clear instruction or explanation of what we were doing or anything about it. We did finally figure it out so no harm/no foul, but after that we requested some time to shop near the beach and that was great. Then we rode back to the cruise port BUT Fanis stopped at our request to an amazing place to get a road-side Gyro. It was the BEST we've ever had, don't leave the island without having a Gyro from ΨHΣTAPIA Grill Room!!

Dani’s was a very good guide and very professional. He took us to the most interesting and beautiful places in Corfu. Would definitely recommend!

Best way to get around the island. We missed all the busy line ups because of the private tour. The tasting was a great addition to the trip.
