Das als KV 11 bezeichnete Grab von Ramses III. Ist ein komplexes System im Tal der Könige. Es ist seit der Antike bekannt. Zu den wunderbaren Dekorationen gehören bunt bemalte versunkene Reliefs mit den traditionellen Ritualtexten (Litanei von Ra, Buch der Tore usw.) und Ramses vor den Göttern. Ungewöhnlich sind hier die weltlichen Szenen in den kleinen Nebenräumen des Eingangskorridors, die ausländische Ehrungen zeigen, wie aus der Ägäis importierte, sehr detaillierte Keramik, die königliche Waffenkammer, Boote und in der letzten dieser Seitenkammern die blinden Harfenisten gab dem Grab einen seiner alternativen Namen: "Grab der Harper"
Das Grab von König Tut. Das Grab von Tutanchamun ist das einzige Grab im Tal der Könige, das 1922 fast unversehrt entdeckt wurde. Der Entdecker seines Grabes war Howard Carter. Tuts berühmte goldene Maske ist im Ägyptischen Museum in Kairo ausgestellt, aber hier haben Sie die Möglichkeit, sich über die königliche Mumie des jungen Königs zu wundern. Nach dem Besuch der Gräber werden Sie zum Tempel der Königin Hatschepsut (Deir el Bahari) gebracht.

In der ägyptischen Mythologie ist Ptah der Demiurg von Memphis, dem Gott der Handwerker und Architekten. In der oder einfach in ihrer Falkenform der neuen Gottheit wurde begonnen, in Gräbern platziert zu werden, um die Toten auf ihrer Reise in den Westen von Luxor zu begleiten und zu schützen. Grab 8, das sich im Tal der Könige befindet, war das Begräbnis Ort des Pharaos Merneptah und ist das Modell der Königsgräber Merneptah war ein Sohn von Ramses II. und Königin Isis-Nofret. Das Grab wurde 1903 von Howard Carter entdeckt. Natürlich gibt es eine wesentliche Abnahme der Anzahl der seitlichen Räume, und a dramatische Zunahme der Höhe der Korridore und Räume. Er verzichtete auf die seit Horemheb verwendete Jogging-Achse und baute stattdessen das gesamte Grab auf einer einzigen Achse. Außerdem wurde der Eingang zum ersten Mal erheblich breiter als frühere Gräber.

Das Grab von Ramses IV (KV 2) im Tal der Könige unterscheidet sich stark von den meisten anderen hier errichteten Gräbern. Dieses Grab ist mit Abstand das spektakulärste der anderen Gräber, die Sie sehen werden. Die Hieroglyphen an der Wand zeigen Szenen aus der Litanei von Ra, dem Totenbuch, dem Buch der Höhlen, dem Buch der Himmel, dem Buch Amduat und dem Buch der Nacht. Die blauen und weißen Farben an den Wänden in der Grabkammer sind sehr lebendig und Sie können den Sarkophag des Königs aus rosafarbenem Granit sehen. Es gibt auch eine wunderschöne Szene der Göttin Nut an der Decke, in der sie die Sonne verschluckt und durch ihren Bauch wandert, damit Nut sie gebären kann. Das Grab hat so viel Farbe und Detail, sogar die Decke über den Sarkophagen mit seiner Göttin Nuss, die sich über den Raum erstreckt. Der Sarkophag ist einer der größten im Tal, obwohl einige der Gemälde sich verschlechtert haben, ist dies einer der am meisten dekorierten.

Koloss von Memnon – Wächter des alten Theben Majestätisch erheben sich aus dem thebanischen Luxor die Kolosse von Memnon, zwei massive Steinstatuen des Pharaos Amenhotep III., die jeweils etwa 18 Meter hoch sind. Diese hoch aufragenden Figuren wachen seit über 3.400 Jahren über das Niltal, begrüßen Reisende und bewachen die Ruinen des einst prächtigen Leichentempels von Amenhotep III. Ursprünglich gebaut, um den Pharao als Gott im Jenseits zu ehren, waren die Kolosse Teil der größten Tempelanlage im alten Theben – jetzt verloren durch Fluten und Zeit. Trotz jahrhundertelanger Schäden bleiben die Statuen ein beeindruckender Anblick, besonders bei Sonnenaufgang, wenn das Licht goldene Töne wirft Eine der Statuen wurde in der griechisch-römischen Ära legendär, bekannt dafür, im Morgengrauen zu „singen“ oder einen mysteriösen Ton von sich zu geben – von antiken Touristen als Stimme von Memnon, einem Helden des Trojanischen Krieges, angenommen. The complete visit to the Valley of the Kings was amazing. I would not have expected so much beauty, especially in the tombs of Seti I and Ramsete IV. The tomb of Tutankhamun is also worth a visit, if only for the fame of the treasure on display in Cairo. It also deserves the temple of Hatshepshut, a masterpiece that has endured through the millennia. Khalid showed us the most deserving things, explaining everything with great competence. This tour is highly recommended! We took a balloon ride booked through the same company so our guide met us afterwards. The tour was well organized. Our Egyptologist guide Abdul, spoke good English and also good archaeological background. He is knowledgeable and learned the history of people who lived in the areas of the tomb sites. In the Valley of the Kings, we indicated that we want to see SETTI which is an extra cost and King Tut. SETII IS WORTH THE EXTRA FEE. The hieroglyphs are vibrant and detained. Abdul chose the other 3 tombs for us which we all love, especially Ramses III. He explained what we will see inside using postcards (which we purchased later) so it was nice to hunt the hieroglyphics and know their meaning. He gave us enough time to explore each tombs on our own. We also had time for quick snack break as it got really hot inside the tombs. Don't expect to eat a full sit down meal during the tour especially if you decide to visit 5 tombs which can be time consuming. Overall, very happy with this tour, nice driver and excellent tour guide, Abdul.

Spectacular. The valley of the kings cannot be missed, with the tomb of Seti I being well worth what we paid. Hassan was a truly excellent guide - he answered all our questions and gave us plenty of flexibility to move at our own pace and add on other local sites into the afternoon. Would recommend.
