Ring of Beara ist eine Rundfahrt um die Beara-Halbinsel durch die farbenfrohsten Dörfer. Ardgroom, Eyeries und Allihies, Dörfer wie aus einem Märchen. Die Stadt Castletownbere ist ein großartiger Ort zum Mittagessen. Fischerstadt mit frischesten Meeresfrüchten, fast direkt vom Boot aus. Der Healy Pass mitten auf der Halbinsel Beara befindet sich nicht wirklich am Ring, darf aber nicht übersprungen werden. Private Tourer können diesen spektakulären Aussichtspunkt erreichen. Darüber hinaus können wir immer mehr hübsche Orte erwarten, die hauptsächlich für Personenkraftwagen und Lieferwagen verfügbar sind.
Molly Gallivans Cottage ist der traditionellste und authentischste alte irische Ort. Wie ein Museum für irische Folklore. Ein Besuch des Ortes ist wie eine Zeitreise vor hundert Jahren oder länger. Sogar Tee wird von einem echten Kamin serviert.
Wunderschöner Ort mit wirklich spektakulärer Aussicht auf die Kenmare Bay und die Bantry Bay auf der anderen Seite der Halbinsel. Charmanter Glanmore See unten mit einigen Felseninseln und wirklich idyllischem Ackerland.
Derreen Garden. Geheimnisvolles Land der kleinen Derrinies und vieler exotischer Pflanzen, besonders bekannt wegen der Vielfalt und Größe der Rhododendren. Schöner Spaziergang an den kleinen gemütlichen Teichen in einer Art Regenwald.
Der Uragh Stone Circle befindet sich in außergewöhnlicher Lage zwischen zwei Seen auf der Heilstraße mit spektakulärer Aussicht auf den Gleninchaquin Waterfall. Dieses beeindruckende Denkmal mit dem höchsten Stein von 10 Fuß über dem Boden und wahrscheinlich 10 Fuß unter der Erde und dem zentralen Stein war ein Altar für die Opfer von Schals, vielleicht auch für Menschen.
Der Kupferabbau in Allihies geht auf das Jahr 1812 zurück. 1845 erreichten die Minen ihren Höhepunkt und beschäftigten rund 1600 Mitarbeiter. Nach der Hungersnot wurden Minen mit lokalem Gebiet erlitten. Die Minen arbeiteten bis 1962.

What a wonderful 2 days with our private tour guide Richard! We booked through Peter Stanley Tours and could not be happier with our experience. The trip is unique and off the beaten path. The towns are working towns full of charm. The people are friendly and accommodating. The views of the peninsula are awe inspiring. Our driver, Peter was knowledgeable, fun and he let us make it “our journey”. He let us take our time and answered all of our questions. Highly recommended.

The Ring of Beara can only be accessed by the boldest of drivers...or in our case, Piotr! The weather was just as wild and untamed as the landscape. Piotr allowed for a customized tour, so we focused on stone circles, a visit to Castletownbere, a cable car to Dursey Island and a meal stop at Allihies. This was by far the highlight of our trip! Piotr was an excellent guide and provided great insight into the history, flora, and fauna of Ireland. I would highly recommend this private tour with Piotr!

Uragh Stone Circle is one of the most mystical places I've come across. The photo does not do it justice Situated between two lakes, surrounded by a natural amphitheatre of volcanic mountains facing the sea on the Northern shore of the fabulous Beara Peninsula, it must have inspired Neolithic people with awe and reverence. I'm surprised it was not replaced by an early Christian church.
